Dr. Frank Lyman Fenton, DO

I have known Dr. Fenton for years had many operations large bowel resection , ear covered up from cancer kidney transplant 22 years ago flue the worst hospitalized , made it through all with this as a primary care physician no. 12 vertebrae cracked & healed, would recommend him for any other thing as a primary consultant to another specialist,

I had taken my daughter in to see Dr. Frank Fenton many years ago, no appointment as it was close to closing time. My daughter had bumped her head into a window, and required 3-4 stitches. I have known Dr. Fenton for a long time prior (friends). He was excellent with my daughter and his staff was perfect, as they were able to allow me to bring my daughter in last minute. They were all amazing!!!

I love Dr. Fenton but the way his staff has made me feel on multiple occasions is unacceptable. The girl(s) who answer the phones are rude and have made me feel extremely uncomfortable about making office visits or even calling in general because they talk to me as if I'm a bother to them. I am a person, not a number to just pass off. (-I am a young person in my early 20s with very little need for a dr so I only need to call 2-4 times in a year. This office experience would be a nightmare if I were an ill elderly person who needed to call all of the time)

Dr Fenton and his office staff are amazing. They go the extra mile for anyone. They will do absolutely anything for anyone Love dr Fenton and his office. Will always go to him.

Love Dr. Fenton. But his staff could be a little more friendly. . . . like smile more. Also, they could be more accurate when ordering prescriptions. . . they need to pay more attention to the details so it doesn't have to be redone.

I'm glad I paid little attention to some of the prior reviews on Dr. Fenton's practice. I was treated as well as I could have imagined and Dr. Fenton took much more time on my visit than he probably had to spend. I found the treatment to be thorough and precise. The office was tidy and quaint. The staff was prompt, competent, and professional. I can only surmise that poor Dr. Fenton has more than his fair share of overly sensitive patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fenton for thirty eight years. He is an excellent doctor, kind, compassionate, and a brilliant diagnostician. I have never left his office without feeling confident that I had received excellent treatment for any medical condition. He has referred me to great specialists. I currently live about 50 miles from his office, but it is worth the drive to have such a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Fenton has been my doctor for years he's a very kind and compassionate doctor. However, every single one of his "office girls" especially his office manager are rude, insensitive, cold, heartless people. I know many people who live in the Walled Lake area who feel the same way about Dr. Fentons staff. I hate that I've been forced to switch doctors because of his horrible staff. I thought medical personal was suppose to be kind and warm. Isn't it the reason why most people go into the medical field because they truly want to help people. I dot understand why such a great doctor is allowing his staff to ruin his office and drive all of his patients away. I hope he just doesn't care because he's planning on retiring soon. Once last complaint, how is it exceptiable to not have an office phone with an answering machine that allows patients to leave a message. I'm in the customer service field and this is not the proper way to "take care" of your patients.

His staff are VERY RUDE they dont care they treat you with dissrespect. I love Dr. Fenton I been with him for over 10 years. The person that handles the paperwork is never in. I think he needs to replace his office staff. I work at a dentist office and if we would talk to our patients like they do we would be fired.

The girls behind the counter...whether in person or on the phone are rude and treat people awful. Doctor Fenton is a great Doctor with a great bedside manner...too bad they can't find a staff to match him.

I'm sorry most of the people on here have had a horrible time with Dr.Fenton And his Staff Members But I bet none of you guys don't even understand what they even do there and how many hard people they deal with every single day, And how much they work every day a week which adds up for them. How much that phone rings a day and they have too pick it up an also how much those girls have to hear people talk and complain every single min of their life that they are at work Every single one of you people have your bad and good days and its just when you guys go in there maybe it's one of there bad days you don't know what kind of day they have had Give them girls and Dr. Fenton a break for once I've had no problem what so ever with anyone up there and id go back any day.

Poor Doctor Fenton, a nice guy like this, that has to work with all these women that need to take Pamprin all month long. I don't get it, how is it the DMC allows this type of customer service go on and on? Just on this review site alone the staff is mentioned more than the Doctor himself even after complaining directly to the DMC it seems only to get worser yeah thats how bad it is it's worser. It is mostly the staff that has been a part of this practice that has this month long menstrul problem.

My father was going to that office for his heart - he is now gone. My aunt was going there for her breast cancer and her heart - she is now gone. He is very good with the bedside manor and the warm and friendly stuff, but other than that he is inept. There is no follow through with the past records so consequently both myself and my mother have been prescribed medications that we were allergic to, something he should have known if he had looked at our records. He also has a tendency to want to run a bunch of unnecessary tests if he knows your insurance will pay for them. If you have a minor ailment you might be OK (emphasis on might), but for anything serious there are a lot of other more capable doctors in the area.

Dr. Fenton is a very nice man, but I do not feel I could trust his skills with a serious medical condition. He does no follow-up, you can't get test results and he is too busy with the small talk to really listen to your questions. I go there if I just need a quick antibiotic or something, but would go elsewhere for something more serious.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fenton's for a long time. Prior to him I had seen other doctors that brushed off my concerns, not Dr. Fenton, he was the only one that didn't treat me like I was crazy and that my symptoms were real, and they were. He and his staff have been so nice and caring, like a second family. I cannot believe some of the horrible comments that I am reading about these wonderful caring people. And to those people that wrote those, have you ever had a bad day? Have you ever had a day where everything goes wrong? or the majority of everyone you deal with that day does nothing but whine, complain, order or demand from you and you can't say anything about it because it's a place of business? Think about it, they are with people that don't feel good all day and that's probably the majority of what they here every day, wouldn't that put you in a bad mood once in a while. Try to put yourself in their shoes and give them a break. And remember your going in there in a bad mood because you don't feel good, so you already have one strike against them don't you, no matter what doctor's office you decide to go to. Dr. Fenton is an excellent doctor and his staff is really very nice and also very knowledgeable. I will always be a patient of Dr. Fenton's.

well i started taking my son to see dr. frank fenton when he got into a servere car accident. at first he seened caring and nderstanding. the staff on the other hand has always been very rude. dr. fenton ordered a cat scan for my son and we went there only to find out that the doctor cancelled it, what we were told is he said it was not necessary. well a couple months went by and my son had started seeing a pain specialist and he ordered a mri. the mri came back that my son has 4 herniated disks and 2 twisted virtibras, and will need major surgery. it doesnt get better, i call to make a appointment for my son due to him being sick, they tell me he cant get him in for a week and half... so i have to take my son to urget care and you know what he has phenomia. good thing i took him some where else. now i have tried for 3 weeks to get a referall for my son for a ent doc and still i cannot. the staff is very unfriendly and not helpful. honestly this is the way you run a buisness? i think not...

This doctor's office has the most rude office staff that I've ever encountered in my 60+ years of living!!! They are very small minded and are very confrontational, especially toward women!From day one they were not friendly towards me! I even went out of my way to be nice and friendly towards them, but that didn't even work! Horrible office staff!

The doctor is fabulous, however I must have caught nurse Paula on a bad day because she was not a comforting presence, nor very friendly. I was treated kinder by the bullies in the fifth grade.

I switched Dr. because of the rude staff and they call my script in with 2 hrs, the staff isn't rude, nor do they treat me like an idiot. The office Staff at Dr. Fenton are rude and shouldn't be allowed to work for anyone. They should all be fired.
