I was so nervous to have back surgery but when I couldn't walk out of my house I knew I had to do something. I had no less than 3 doctors say that he was good when I asked for a referral. I'm glad I saw him. My journey after surgery was not a smooth one. The first two weeks I felt pain and it was difficult for me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. What was remarkable was that he and his team were with me every step of the way. They are very responsive and I never felt like they ignored me. I'm close to 2 months from surgery and I feel great. My pain is essentially gone and I was able to walk close to two miles today. I can finally enjoy my life again. If you have a problem he will take care of you.

I’ve had a problem with my back and leg for many years. I’ve seen multiple surgeons in DC and all over northern va. I’ve had 4 previous operations with no success until I met Dr Mo. I was hit by a dump truck. I experienced increasing degeneration over a period of thirty five years. Five levels of my lumbar spine had less than a millimeter of disc. I could not perform simple motor functions. For example, I had to keep my shoulders and hips parallel or severely impinge nerves. Even the simplest tasks were impossible. I suffered pain every second at a 6-10 out of ten level. The disability and pain increased until I could no longer work and was dependent on opiates. For 35 years I trained for flexibility and strength to slow the degeneration, and it bought me time. I was lucky to have a good orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Tushar Patel, before Dr. Mo. The day I left the hospital I was in far better shape than when I went in. The recovery was slow and difficult, and required a strict regimen on my part for one year. Dr. Mo had been straight with me about this, and he monitored my progress closely. After the first year, 5 of my diseases were cured. Cured. The sixth, arthritis can't be cured, but the effects and degeneration are minimized now. I take no pain medicine of any kind. Over the four years since I have had constant and amazing improvement. Most of my days are pain free. Not only can I do things I couldn't do for 20 years, like run, lift weights, or ride a bike, I can do them at a high level. At 56, I am stronger, have good cardiovascular fitness, and more flexible than most men half my age. I can push a 400 pound sled faster than most men my age can run. I can ride a bike for hours, seemingly with no limit. I have improved to 60 degrees of flexion and 20 degrees of extension, which is what a normal flexible person is capable of. I can do anything. It wasn't easy, and Dr. Mo made me fully aware that he could only perform a few hours of surgery. the rest was up to me. It took time, but the improvement in the quality of my life cannot be understated. I will close with two words of advice: first, trust Dr. Mo to help you; second, you must work every day and do exactly as instructed if you want to be cured. You must commit. You can have the same type of results if you do.
