Very poor physician. He also lacks empath and compassion.

Dr Gettlefinger and his staff are amazing, so kind and attentive. He has helped me for over 2 years now with my cervical epidurals. I would not go anywhere else.

Worst doctor ever. He doesn't help patients...he tells them why he won't. Wasted my time, effort, and money! Find a better doctor!

Dr. Gettelfinger cares about his patients. His staff cares about their patients. They are a great group of professional, healthcare providers. We are fortunate to have him practicing medicine in Bloomington.

This is the most caring and professional doctor I've ever had chance to be taken care of by had chronic pain for over half my life he is a blessing

Just wants to do injections. Doesn't prescribe any medicine.

Dr. Gettelfinger very professional and caring along with his staff.

This doctor harmed me far more than he helped. Administered a medication that actually made my pain worse. After the pain was worse he made statements that ended up being outright lies. I wish I had never seen this doctor.

I never had a physical exam. I was treated crudely and rudely.

Dr Gettelfinger is more than just a doctor, I consider him a friend. He has a wonderful personality, and is very caring.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gettelfinger's for many years, due to an accident while doing volunteer church work that left me with a severely damaged spine most of which is inoperable. While living in a state of almost constant pain since the accident, he has been not only a great physician to me but a friend of which I'm very thankful. Many times he has treated the problem causing the pain and referred me to the right type of therapy to get me through some very difficult times. I happily give him the highest score that I can. His care for me has been exceptional. On the other hand, I have not had great success with his office help. Ms. Sherry has been a problem person from the beginning and has to let you know who's in charge with all manner of ill comments and rudeness. She is totally non-professional and, at times, will not give you an appointment or return your call to schedule an appointment. As a manager in the Bloomington business scene for many years, with thirty five great employees working for me and interacting daily with customers, who are our life source, we would not tolerate such customer relation concerns. She needs discipline and training or another field of labor. Working beside her has been one of the nicest ladies that I've had the privilege to meet. Ms. Betty you are greatly missed....

Terrible bedside manner. Talked about politics, close to refused what my doctor had refereed me for, would only suggest a physical therapy clinic that my insurance didn't cover and suggested PT was all I needed. (PT would exacerbate my problems...) Also talked down to me when I told him I could not afford to miss a lot of work, told me my job was not important. Well, I guess magical money will appear if I quit my job?

Very patient and helpful explaining everything that needed to be done. He provided great advice on my overall health and how to avoid having neck surgery.

Dr. Gettelfinger tried not to follow the directions my specialist sent to him. Instead he promoted a product. To top that off, he spent the first ten minutes or so of our appoingment time proselytizing. I was shocked by that.I finally got a bit pushy and we did get down to what I was there for. He stopped trying to sell me on relgion and products and did what he was supposed to do - and he did it well.It was a strange experience.

Went to receive an injection at Indiana specialty surgery center. They informed me that my insurance was accepted. Saw Gettlefinger and he gave me the most negative diagnosis for my situation. He stated that I would most likely need to have surgery on my spine. Glad I didn't listen, I am all better after six months. After injection I receive a bill that wasn't covered by my insurance because Gettlefinger doesn't accept my insurance, but the Surgery Center did. Gettlefinger charged $400 for an office visit where he spoke to me for 10min. Watch out for Indiana Specialty Surgery Center and Dr Gary Gettlefinge, you may not be getting all the information you need.

I had two herniated discs which caused severe drop foot.Before coming to him, I had, had a bad experience with an epidural, given by another doctor, which was a nightmare..I passed out..I told Doc G that I did not want another one and he said "I dunno what the other guy did, but I gotta shoot ya, it'll work and mine won't hurt, I gurantee it!"He was right, a pinch or two, great care from him and the staff and after 4 such shots my drop foot went away and I was right again.No surgery..thanks Doc G.
