Dr. Gary George Theofilis, DO

Extremely disappointing. I was referred to Dr. Theophilis for pelvic nerve pain and was really looking forward to my appointment with him. He provided knowledgeable information about the pelvis and recommended a peripheral nerve block. During our conversation, I asked a very valid question- whether or not the block would be image-guided and his response was extremely rude and belittling. “Image-guided, really?? You just need to go get treated somewhere else, I’m not going to have someone telling me how to do my job.” I was not challenging him or questioning his abilities in the least. Just asking about the procedure. The nurse (who witnessed it all) along with his wife apologized profusely for the way he acted. The office staff and nurses were extremely kind- I can at least speak highly of them! Overall, I’m very disappointed with the way I was mistreated and I would not recommend this doctor. - Kiley

Dr. Theofilis is a very smart physician that really knows his stuff. I had been in pain for a month and it was increasing very rapidly to the point where I could barely walk. I had been on several medications that were not doing any good. He met me after hours, and after a thorough exam, diagnosed exactly what was going on (which was later confirmed by MRI). He was 100% correct when he told me that any treatment that he would do would not be long term and that I needed to see a neurosurgeon for surgery. A few weeks later, after having the surgery, I'm pain free, exercising and even lifting weights again. Thank you Dr. Theofilis!!!

Dr. T and the staff at Ancora Pain Suwanee are the best. Very friendly staff, inviting office, very efficient and accurate. Dr. T's bedside manner is impeccable. I am never blindsided by treatments or medications. He lets me know exactly what I am in for.

First off, Dr. T had me at "I don't believe in discograms." I agree and having had this done in the past, trusting pain management doctors recommendations only to later learn this is a very barbaric procedure and even through it all, results are still bound to an opinion of the doctor by how much pain he/she thinks you should display. If you aren't screaming louder than the other guy, you aren't suffering enough therefore your pain is questionable. At least, that's how they make you feel. Not Dr. Theofilis. He knows enough to begin isolating treaments that may or may not work for you, even if he doesn't have imaging yet. Granting me relief in a short amount of time without showering me with opiates as a bandage. Love this guy and will follow whatever clinic he goes to or opens up.

I was devasted when my previous Pain Management Dr merged w another practice and didn't accept my insurance any longer. She had given me parts of my life back through medicine,trigger point injections&dry needling. I was referred to several Dr's who would not even see me but I kept on researching. I am SO glad to have found Dr. Gary Theofilis. He spends time with me & has already made a huge impact on my life in less than 1 month! I just had a dx nerve block. I am SO thankful for him & his staff!

Has no compassion for patients in pain, his poor listening skills and is not a nice or professional care provider. The amount of paperwork required to have an initial consultation is oppressive to someone suffering from painful conditions. Asked if the paperwork could be filled in with the assistance of a nurse or this doctor, but was denied any kind of help.

Dr. T diagnosed my problem within 15min. I've had this pain for years and have seen many Physicians and had many procedures. None of them worked. Dr. T diagnosed and treated my problem. I was pain free in 15 min.

He is a fantastic physician. The most caring physician that I have ever met. He has truly improved my quality of life.

I love Dr. T's approach to Pain Management. In a a few months I was able to stop taking pain medication because Dr. T was able to identify my source of pain and treat the cause. Dr. T gave me my life back!!!
