Dr. Gem Ashby is the most caring and genuine doctor I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! She knows her patients well and treats them as family. I started going to her when I first moved down to Tampa and followed her when she transferred into her own practice. Anything you are going through she is there for you and even after having a couple year lapse between visits with her she remembered every detail about my health and family life. All doctors should take note of her etiquette and replicate it. I couldn't even come up with a single thing for her to improve on as she is quite literally perfect. Thank you Dr. Ashby for always making me feel like my health truly matters to you. You are one in a million! (I have now moved out of the Tampa area and still drive 1.5/2hrs just to continue to see her as my OBGYN)

she botched my son's circumcision. Took too much skin off and he had to go in for a second surgery to repair. When I called her out on it, she was condescending and called me sweet heart the entire time. Said it was elective and she can't always guarantee the results. Also told me if I got a breast augmentation, if I didn't like the results, I couldn't get a refund. Don't let her touch your baby boys....she'll mame them for life. Terrible experience...I wouldn't let her touch me or any member of my family!

No complaints! Talking to her feels like talking to a friend. She is absolutely wonderful and so good at making me feel comfortable during uncomfortable appointments. She also explains everything she does and takes the time to answer every question. Awesome doctor.

Makes you feel at ease. Very thorough and knowledgeable. Caring, gentle and listens well. Doesn't rush you. Explains what she is doing. Her office staff is great too. They are polite and helpful. My doctor recommended Dr. Ashby to me. She is my Dr.'s gynecolgist. Dr. Ashby called me personally to review my lab work and asked how I was doing. I have peace of mind knowing she is my gynecologist.

my experience is always great with dr. ashby. she is attentative and you can tell she cares about you as an individual and you are not just a patient chart to her. she is very gentle and she doesnt rush you to get to the next patient. she always explains what she is going to do before she does it when examining or performing a procedure and she is honest and makes you feel very comfortable.

dr ashby is very nice u can ask her all the things that bothers u im really scared to visit gyncologist but when she did all the test like papsmear i only felt just a lil pain very approachable and warm :) highly recommend :) by the way that's why we wait too long because we were 15mins late to our appointment :) luckily they didnt resched us :)

Dr. Ashby is probably a good doctor but I was not able to see her. I went in for my first pre-natal visit with Dr. Ashby at the Tanic Drive location about two weeks ago but I was not able to see her because my insurance deductible for the visit was $300+ and it shocked me. This is my third pregnancy and Ive been fortunate enough to have co-pay insurance with no deductibles until now so I didnt expect to pay that much on the first visit. The lady at the front desk barely looked at me. I felt unwanted. I told her I didn't have it and she just said without looking at me "then the doctor can't see you". She didn't ask to reschedule or anything, just dismissed me. I left in tears. After speaking with HR at my job, I understood the deductible and I have all of the money needed for my pre-natal care and labor but I will not return to Dr. Ashby's office because the lady at the front desk was not friendly.

Dr. Ashby is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She has a wonderful attitude, takes her time in explaining things to you and has a very warm and vibrant personality. She will always go over any concerns you may have and ensures all your questions are answered before you leave her office. I highly recommend her!

I went to Dr. Ashby for care with my first pregnancy. I requested her every time for the office and got lucky enough that she was on call when I delivered. She is fantastic! Her bed side manner is fabulous and I feel like she actually really knew me instead of just being another 3:00 appointment. I heavily recommend her. Now if only she did pediatrics and was a family doctor, then I could use her for everything.

Dr. Ashby took care of me during my pregnancy and delivered my baby in Pensacola Florida in 2006. Her attentiveness, bedside manner and courtesy are top notch. She never made us feel rushed during an appointment and answered all of our questions no matter how silly we we thought they were!If I were to have another child, I would certainly seek her out for care and am just sorry that she is no longer in Pensacola!

Gem was one of the most amazing and patient doctors that I have ever had. I recommend her to everyone. You won't regret it. Her professionalism is above and beyond that of the average doctor.
