I first went to Dr. M 12 years ago when I broke my wrist, it was his first week in his practice in Austin. He repaired a crushed wrist and did an excellent job. Twelve years later , I had another issue with my other wrist and he is still being a caring and excellent doctor for our family!

I had Dr. M. perform several upper extremity surgical procedures in the past, about 4 years ago. I was a mess. Fast forward to today- I am leading an active lifestyle without pain and suffering. No discomfort, hands and arms are in great shape, thanks to the surgical skill of Dr. M. Thank you very much!! Jim T.

I found this doctor to be thorough in his assessment and frank in his diagnosis. Although his appearance suggests another culture, his English is impeccable.

Dr. Mundanthanam and his staff were beyond professional, going out of their way to accommodate my parents' needs, as they had driven 8 hours for their appointment. The doctor was friendly, took his time to answer all of our questions, and explained in detail all of our options and procedures. He listened to our concerns and fit us into his busy schedule to perform the procedure the same day as our consultation. All of the staff were friendly and personable, making us feel at home. I would give him 100 stars if possible, and my parents will definitely be back to have the next procedure done on the other hand. The doctor and staff were fantastic!

Dr. Mundanthanam saw me for car[al tunnel release. He diagnosed it quickly and scheduled a surgery right away. he did a double surgery because I did not want to go through the procedure and healing twice. He talked to me about the procedure and what to expect and answered every question I had. His demeanor is so very pleasant and there is no rushing to do anything. If you want a truly enjoyable experience(considering what has to be done) then this doctor is the one to contact.

Dr. Mundanthanam performed carpal tunnel release, cubital tunnel release and trigger finger release on on my husband and carpal tunnel release on myself. Both of us had been in pain for years and are now symptom free. A pain free recovery and back to normal activities in 2 weeks. A great surgeon and a very nice person.

Dr. Mundanthanam treated me for carpal tunnel and a trigger finger - the surgery for both was smooth, recovery a breeze, hardly needed any pain meds. He makes you feel at ease, doesn't pressure you into anything, explains things in layman terms, and has such a fantastic personality - a natural 'people person'.

Dr. Mundanthanam is one of the most personable, professional, and knowledgable doctors I have ever visited. I tore a tendon in my thumb, and he took great care of me. I had minimal pain after surgery and a smooth recovery. I have an inch scar that is undetectable. My OT repeatedly bragged on his surgery and loved working with his patients which speak volumes given the number of surgeons she represents. You can be assured that you will have a great experience with him. My only sadness was having to say goodbye to him on my last visit.

Excellent care and patient rapport

Very caring and thoughtful. Has post-op meds delivered to you so you do not have to stop on the way home after surgery. Brings in OT to his office so you leave with the splint he wants you to have and so you do not have to make additional appointments and drive all over town. Met him after he performed emergency surgery on my husband's hands. I was impressed with his work and the way he cared for my husband. I knew when I started having problems with my wrist, he was the doctor I wanted to see. I highly recommend him.

Dr. George Mundanthanam is a very curtious and efficient doctor. He has a wonderful bedside manner. I would recomend him in a heartbeat. It is a pleasure to talk with him.

Dr. George Mundanthanam I don't know where to begin to sing the praises of Dr. George Mundanthanam and his excellent staff. I sought out Dr. Mundanthanam as a second opinion because I required surgery on my hand. I was not comfortable with the first practice I visited. Dr. Mundanthanam's credentials are impeccable. I guess the best way to give a thorough review is to compare and contrast my experience with my first doctor and staff, and Dr. Mundanthanam and his staff. I'm a 65 -year-old woman, and have to admit I never seek second opinions; however, I did this time. As I've gotten older, I have felt the stakes are much higher regarding my health. I had a proximal row carpectomy (three bones were removed from my left hand.) The first doctor spent 10 minutes explaining the procedure, and rushed me out the door. I had a question with my first doctor within five minutes of my visit. The front desk attendant said that I couldn't see the doctor, and the nurse was busy. She said that they would call me later. In contrast, my first visit with Dr. Mundanthanam lasted an hour, and he never seemed rushed and answered all my questions. He was very patient, and never at anytime was he patronizing or condescending in any way. He was honest and laid out my options, explaining that he wasn't sure what he'd find until he got into the surgery, but told me what the outcomes might be. In fact I had an additional question after I left the examination room. I told Kim, at the front desk, and she asked him to come out to the lobby, and he did. His staff is phenomenal â??when the only time I could get a surgery time was in the afternoon. Kim, at the front desk, said, â??that won't do, I want you to be able to go in the morningâ??, and worked to make it happen. His staff are his best cheerleaders, assuring me that he was the best. (In my mind this tells a lot about a practice.) My other doctor's staff hardly responded to anything I asked, and said nothing about the doctor. In fact I was shocked at their naivete when I asked basic questions about preparing for the procedure. The surgery went very well, and Dr. Mundanthanam called me that evening after the surgery to see how I was doing. Wow. That's a first for me. My first followup visit was also an hour. He was pleased with the results, and so was I. He is truly a professional and a skilled surgeon. I would encourage anyone to visit this excellent practice. My hand is continuing to get better everyday. As an added bonus, Dr. Mundanthanam studied under a plastic surgeon during his hand fellowshipâ??I have a very faint scar. Finally, these days doctor's require a pre-payment for the surgery if there is a co-pay. I paid both doctors. I overpaid Dr. Mundanthanam's practice, and had a refund two weeks after the surgery. My other doctor, even though I chose not to have the surgery through his practice, did not refund my money for four months, and it was a struggle to get the money back.

Broke my thumb in a stupid wedding accident. Dr. M was great. Saw me right away. Surgery was schedule quick and I'm already back to good health (broke thumb mid-May). Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Mundanthanam did a great job fixing my wrist after a fall off my roof left me with a torn ligament and other damage. Being a firefighter, I was concerned about the length of time I would be off. Dr. Mundanthanam took the time to explain exactly what he was going to do and what I could expect after the surgery. He answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable with what needed to be done. Dr. Mundanthanam performed a flawless surgery taking a tendon and creating a new ligament. As extensive as the surgery was, I was able to return to work just a little more than two months. I would highly recommend Dr. Mundanthanam to any of my family, friends, and colleagues. Additionally, his office staff were all very supportive and helpful. Appointments, X-rays, office visits, etc. all went extremely smooth.

At most doctor's offices, you endure the solitude of sitting alone in the waiting room counting the seconds as you see your designated time pass by. Not here! Not only were the other patients in the waiting room friendly, but Dr. Mundanthanam was punctual and had us in and out with a smile the whole time. He made us feel right at home when explaining the injury and wasted no time following through with a cast and a returning appointment. Dr. Mundanthanam has by far been one our family's doctor's and we highly suggest anyone in need of an orthopedic surgeon to see him. He truly loves what he does and it shines through his personality and quality of care.

I broke my hand at a mountain bike race in Patagonia. I was able to get in to see Dr. Mundanthanum the day after I got back from Chile and able to have surgery two days later. Dr. M put a plate and six screws in my hand and quickly had me on the road to recovery. I was able to train indoors after only a couple of days and was weight bearing after six weeks. My visits with Dr. M were always on time, he is very professional and personable.

The office staff were wonderful! Dr. Mundanthanum did an absolutely fabulous job repairing my elbow. It has barely been 2 months and the scar is barely visible! Plus, I have great range of motion. I will only go to him for all my orthopedic needs.

I had successful hand surgery this spring ... results were better than anticipated. Office staff and Dr. Mundanthanam were wonderful.
