Dr. Grace Garretson Shumaker, MD

She is more concerned about insurance than the patient. Patient complained repeatedly, but Shumaker didn’t listen to patient, which could have saved her life. Rather, Shumaker inaccurately said Medicare only allowed 1 CT Scan per year. What’s more important? My loved ones life or Medicare? We switched and our loved one received as many CT Scans as necessary to help inform treatment. Shumaker is in it for the money. I taught her in school. She loves herself and laughs at professionalism and the oath to “do no harm.” Because of her narcissistic values, our loved ones received only “air-headed brain thoughtlessness.” I do not recommend “dr” Grace Shumaker as a doctor. I taught her in middle school - same attitude. Steer clear of Grace Shumaker if you love your loved ones.

Dr Shumaker didn’t even read over my chart before coming into the room to discuss my lymphoma issues. There were things in my chart I had to tell her about...on more than one occasion. I had test results back and she lead me to believe they weren’t back. She does not explain the results of lab, etc at all. I am very disappointed with her. I will be changing doctors.

I was not satisfied with this doctor or Hospital....I would not recommend this doctor or hospital for cancer treatment.
