Dr. Gregory Martin Haffner, MD

I was *so fortunate* to have Dr. Haffner as my retina surgeon. Dr. Haffner performed a partial vitrectomy for a retinal detachment in an emergency situation. While I did not have time to "physician shop", I could not have been more pleased with (1) the level of his expertise, (2) his investment of time in answering my questions, (3) the quality of his team, and (4) the successful outcome. He and his team are outstanding in all respects.

I have been a patient of Dr Haffner for several years and am delighted that he is my doctor. He has taken great care of my macular degeneration and I am seeing well because of him.

Dr Haffner is an excellent physician. He is attentive and gave me detailed explanations. I highly recommend him.

Really a first class practice. Sure the wait is a bit long at times, but do you want to go to a doctor who isn't busy? Dr Haffner has been treating me for macular degeneration and I have been doing great. My vision has improved significantly with the intraocular injections. He is kind and patient, always taking the time to explain things to me and answer questions, something that has become more and more unusual for many doctors. A great experience.

I have diabetes and was having some visual problems, petrified because my mother went blind from diabetes 20 years ago. Dr Haffner was very patient with me, taking the time to discuss my disease at length and reassure me that with better sugar control and some laser, I could continue to see well. He really took the time to answer all my questions something you dont see in all doctors nowadays. He has wonderful bedside manner. I have been seeing him for the past 6 months and indeed things have been going well. I am so thankful for his expertise.

Dr. Haffner cannot give a straight coherent answer to simple questions about my eye condition. He acts nervous as if he is taking a test, and is constantly playing with his hair when trying to explain things. He never apologized for being 2 hours late and that was the best of his mistakes. Such a weak link, but very fitting for the group.

Its always going to be unpleasant to go to a doctors office but these people make it as nice as they can. They have cracks and cookies for us as we wait. Its a long wait but its worth it because they do care about us and when you need the extra time spent on you they give it to you. I was an emergency patient and took me right in and made everything happen quickly for me when it really counted. I will always be grateful for that.
