I was sent to Dr. Lee after contracting a staph infection and 6 subsequent surgeries at Paoli Hospital. I was barely alive, in a wheel chair and ready to give up hope. He stepped in, cancelled an up coming surgery which was to remove thee entire prosthetic. He prescribed a regimen and combination of intravenous and oral antibiotics. Miraculously, the staph was gone after about 2 months. After 2 years of physical therapy and aqua therapy I was able to walk on my own without assistive mobility devices. I am so greatful that Dr. Gwo Chin Lee, a consummate, skilled orthopedic and infectious disease professional navigated me through this life threatening crisis. Dr. Lee is wonderful! I waited for five years trying to find a surgeon who would replace my hip. Over those years I developed some secondary issues and no one would help me.
