Dr. Hamed Al-Tamimi

If it wasn't for Dr Al I would've had to have a liver transplant he encourage me to loose weight and I did 168 lb now I have my health.

I would like to say that at first he seemed like a knowledgeable doctor with a distant bed side manner. I have noticed a trend that if you do not have the first test come back with any results, he believes there is not a problem. I currently suffer from gastroparesis and I vomit daily. He had gave my the option to either have a gastric pacemaker or to suffer. Little did I know that his current “plan” was that my illness was psychogenic. He wants to bleed you try with tests. He had no accurate information on my meds and he did not keep track of any of my symptoms. It was easier for him to dismiss my case and say I needed a psych evaluation despite seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist for years. I am so offended and disappointed in him as a doctor and a person. Do not see him if you need help or have been diagnosed with depression.

He and his staff are very professional and knowledgeable. Saved my life.

Dr.Altamimi is a great doctor! He is very professional at his job, has great scheduling, and is very polite and nice! He spends time with his patients, making sure to get every detail. I definitely recommend him to people!

I had seen Dr Altamimi for abdominal pain. He ordered a colonoscopy. Afterwards, he wanted to speak to me. He said, " there's nothing wrong with you, stop making this pain up" while gesturing towards to my stomach. Now, of course, I've seen another GI. I get the results of my 6 biopsies tomorrow.

I have been a patient of Dr. Al-Tamimi for 9 months and the staff refuse to return a phone call concerning rest results. I have had this problem since the beginning, but it has gotten ridiculous. I have brain cancer and am waiting on a serious brain surgery because I have a bacterial infection, so this is a serious concern. On this occasion I have been waiting for 2 weeks to learn the results of my latest test. While the nurse refuses to tell me the results, my tumor grows. This is shameful and cruel.

He is great! He is very thorough in his exams and procedures, wanting to find the problem. Great bedside manner! Wears colorful shirts too!

I have been to Dr. Al-Tamimi a few times, I read the other reviews on here and I felt that I should leave one. I am getting a little older and have had my share of doctors and what I have found is that most people respond to you as you respond to them. Dr. Al-Tamimi has had cause to get after me for doing things wrong when it concerned my treatment and I appreciate that he is concerned enough to do that. His staff has been nothing but helpful and pleasant. Every work place has it's own environment and people being human, must leave a home that maybe less than perfect and deal with people that are fearful for their quality of life. With all these factors going on in each individual visit I can understand that there may have been some unpleasant visits, but I will not let it take away from my quality of treatment and I believe Dr. Al-Tamimi does a very professional job with the patients best interests in the for front of each visit.

Very rude nurse

In my opinion he does not spend enough time with patient..and his nurse ignores what he tells her to do..leaves it to patient to carry out his orders ..which patient has no authority to be able to do this...Instead of Dr following thru with problem at that time ..He wants to push you into scheduling colonoscopy..an I also had problem with one of my colonoscopies..patients were scheduled to be seen in office an he left me waiting till finished with them..In which I was sicker than I had ever been when I left..I'm guessing my blood sugar got to low..no one seemed concerned that I looked like the walking dead..could not even sit up on the way home..normally you can't tell I had anything done..When I have called after certain procedures due to swelling or pain..I'm just told to go to ER..an were talking bout 6 or 7 hours if not more..you would think he would know what the problem is since he did the procedures..or at least see patient ..an perhaps he could get a patient seen faster at ER..He has never shown me or explained blood test result..nor any other test results ..I'm had to ask for copies..One of the test results were not accurate from pathology..There was reading that was higher than top of scale ...what I read an what Dr told me wasn't the same..I am very disappointed because I had heard good things about him. I called in with concerns about taking certain meds at the same time..His nurse told me it was ok to take them at same time..I let her know that the paper work I had wasn't saying it was ok..then she said she'd get back to me..my info was correct ..not what she had told me initially..since then she has had an attitude with me...I am not legally qualified to order my meds..but instead of her doing what the Dr. Had said...she told me to call pharmacy an let them know how long Dr wanted me on medication..knowing full well I was not qualified to do so..I did find out why I hadn't rec'd ' all of my meds ..she tried to flip the script an act like it was my fault..luckily I got a reference number to my conversation with them..I can't say I'd refer him to others..only tell them about my situation an let them be the judge

Al is a thoughtful, thorough, caring Dr. who communicates well with his patients.

she waited a good while to be seen and she got a little anxious, but office was busy. The doctor apparently takes time with his patients. Very courteous, very professional and kind. Took my mother there for concerns of coughing and choking and swallowing difficulties. He suggested feed tube and gave her complete confidence.

Overall good service, would recomend to others.

Excellent skills and knowledge in a short period of time

This guy who calls himself a doctor will put you through the ringer you have to go through prepping for a colonoscopy and then cancel out on you at the last minute. If he can't keep his scheduling with his on administration people straight, then I don't think I can trust him to go probing around in my guts....If you don't believe me, just ask those other folks that were cancelled out on the same day as I was...Not a pleasant experience at all, but he sure gets his bill out in a timely manner...No problem there....

Dr Al found and repaired duodenal bleeding ulcer. He provided photos of the procedure and clearly communicated likely cause and what to avoid in the future. Excellent diagnostic skill and communication skills!

Excellent bedside manners, careful, accurate diagnosis, outstanding clinical skills. I do not believe any other physician in this specialty in Spokane can beat him up in knowledge and skills
