Dr Hamid Mootabar

I had a history of severe pre-eclampsia and lost twins at 51/2 months . Other doctors wouldn’t Treat me . Doctor Mootibar monitored me very closely and I had a great pregnancy and now have a beautiful and very health little girl . All thanks to his knowledge and care . Changed my life . He is an amating doctor .

I was having twins and all my pregnancy was relatively well, no complications at all. I was 37 wks pregnant and Dr Mootabar decided to find out if my babies lungs were mature enough to be born, so he did a procedure which required to insert a long needle in my belly like an amniocentesis to draw part of the fluid and test it some how to determine the maturity of their lungs. During the procedure something went wrong, all I remembered is him drawing a syringe with blood which it was not supposed to have any blood and he was so nervous. I knew something was wrong, and not enough with the first try, he tried one more time. It was so painful and I was in tears. He did not care how I felt and he sent me right away to Lawrence hospital which it was few blocks away from his office. The minute I walked into labor and delivery, I knew something was not right. My babies were in distress, thankfully to my doctor Susan greenidge that arrived to the hospital in minutes, I delivered my babies via csection with out any complications. My daughter had the umbilical cord around her neck but Dr Greenidge managed to save my little daughter. My Dr told me that Dr. Mootabar didn't need to do that procedure since I was already 37 wks. Dr Mootabar didn't notify my OBGYN about this procedure. Thank God and my doctor my twins are 8 yrs old now.

Love to see him. He's brilliant and hilarious. If you're having problems during your pregnancy he makes you feel super safe.

Hi! My name is Sandra Rodriguez. I had 7 miscarriages n one baby delivered birth at 6months. in which she only survived 12minutes bcuase my water broke too soon..I was told i could not have a baby by other doctors where i lived in the bronx because i was weak n could not hold baby to full term. Well i did get pregnant again and i didn't know till i was 3mnths... I had a difficult time with pregnancy with worries and frustration that i will loose this baby! I was then refered to Dr. Mootabar...long story short he assured me with no doubt. " I will give birth to a healthy baby"! Guess what? I did she is now 12yrs old n is on honor roll for the past 4yrs!!! I also gave birth to a son 10yrs old also on honor roll at school! I thank Dr Mootabar as i thank God.. Dr Mootabar you are a blessing and a miracle to all women n moms who didnt believe!!!! You are my soul n salvation my children are here born alive because of your compassion n love of heart to liveâ?¡

I waited over an hour for every appointment in this office. I found this MD to be very difficult to understand, and he did not spend the time to explain himself or relieve my concerns. I would not recommend him or this office to anyone who is pregnant

I see him at his sons office. When I picked westchester health I did not plan on seeing him often yet I have seen him more then any other doctor. You have to see him if you are over 35 and you have to see him if you have GD in your pregnancy. I am unfortunate enough to have both. You have to wait over an hr to see him and then he's so slow and verbose you want to shoot yourself. I will not go back to this practice after this baby because of him.

Dr. H. Mootabar is very keen, observant, careful and very knowledgeable. He displays great attention to clinical details and examination which is exceptional (as this seems to be a dwindling quality these days). As a health care professional, having had the opportunity to observe him in my own care: I trust his judgement, appreciate his attention to detail and would definitely recommend him.

A visit to his bronxville office for a routine genetic counseling and ultrasound resulted in over a two hour wait, despite the fact that the waiting room was not even full. I had to move my car AND refill the meter twice. This doctor and office shows such utter disrespect for other people's time that it is really ridiculous. What is scary is that a 2 hour wait time is shorter than the usual 3 hour wait time! When the doctor finally does see you he spends a lot of time writing notes while you sit there ans wait and look at the time run down on your meter. After he writes his notes he proceeds to explain your situation in the slowest and most painstaking way possible. Really not worth the wasted time and anxiety, especially if you are already patient and have enough worries,

Dr MOOTabar saw me at his sons office. I think he is good,,,alittle pompous...however I m not sure if worth the terrible wait. However, I have a healthy son,

Dr Mootabar was my Doctor when I delivered my son during my labor he left and went home and left me in the car of another Physician who knew nothing of my history. I needed an emergency C section because of this and Dr Mootabar was not around. I should have sued

Dr. Mootabar sees high risk patients at my regular ob office, which I'm considered due to my age. He's got a great bed side manner, makes you feel at ease and spends as much time as you need with him, making sure you understand everything (which for high risk pregnancies, is a lot of info). He's very knowledgeable, comprehensive and has a stellar reputation. He's earned my trust so far. The only complaint is scheduling. He sees every high risk patient at my ob office, and has other offices, so he sees a lot of women at several locations. It makes scheduling difficult and waits extreme. His u/s tech saw me at 10:15 am when I had a 9:00 am appt, and I saw Dr. Mootabar about 20 minutes after that. The office staff warns you about the long wait, so you can plan for it. While frustrating, I definitely think the wait it worth it to see this doctor.

Absolutely ridiculous wait times. The total wait time was literally over 3 hours for a 10 minute consultation with a genetic counselor and a brief procedure. And you can tell it's a regular occurrence there considering that the waiting room has about 20 chairs (which are often full) despite there being only one doctor. I don't know if this mess is caused by a desire to maximize profits, but it seems like a terribly run business all round. To top it off, the parking outside is a paid meter with a maximum of 90 minutes. I had to go back twice to replenish it. Many of the patients there also seem to be of lower socioeconomic status and the men accompanying the expecting mothers often refuse to offer seats to other pregnant women. Very classy bunch. The doctor himself appears to be relatively competent, but he does have a certain air of hubris, and his communication with his assistants leave much to be desired. The working environment feels a bit awkward and claustrophobic.

I had a very good experience with Dr.Mootabar. I highly recommend him to all. I was his patient for a long time. His diagnoses are always correct and he is a very good person.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Mootabar!!! He is kind, compassionate, and funny. I was so nervous about my amnio, but he made it feel like a breeze! So happy I got it done with him, and so happy he is my doc!

When I learned I am pregnant my friend recommended Dr. Mootabar to me. At first I felt uncomfortable with a male OB but I did not regret that I did push through with seeing him. He answered my first panic call when I had bleeding at 8 weeks and calmed me down as I was crying. When I met him he was funny and bever made me feel uncomfortable. He jokes with his patients and everytime he sees my baby he always says GORGEOUS lol He is the best! His nurse Lisa and all his office staff are wonderful and accommodating. Somehow what I didnt like though was he had several ultrasound techs who are aloof.. Except for Laurrie and Roseanne :)

I met Doctor Mootabar after one of my co-workers spoke so highly of him. I was getting over a miscarriage and felt hopeless. I decided to give Dr. Mootabar a try. This was in 2006--My son will be turning 5 years old in May. I am a mother because of the care I received under Doctor Mootabar. There aren't enough words to express my gratitude. His nurse Lisa is phenomenal. I adore her. Thank you Dr. Mootabar and staff-- many bleesings to you. You are all "GORGEOUS."

I have been a patient of Dr Mootbar's since 1994. My 12 year old son would not be here if it was for Dr. Mootbar. He know his stuff, is very caring and professional. He loves what he is doing and cares about his patients. This comes across from the moment you meet him. He is a godsend and worther the 45 minute wait time that is mentioned on this website.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mootabar since 2006. He delivered my healthy baby girl after my other OB/GYN said I was having conjoined twins and one of them had to die. He was highly recommended to me & now I know why. I have had 2 miscarriages due to Crohns Disease and Dr. Mootabar has been with me all the way through. His nurse LISA is also amazing. I wouldn't see anyone else but Dr. Mootabar! Excellent bedside manner and very caring and understanding. He treats everyone fairly.

Saw Dr. Mootabar bc I was a high risk pregnancy. Age, obesity and diabetes were a factor. He kept me in line with a strict weight gain amount. Pleased to let you know mother and child are both doing fine. Very caring and passionate about his job. We are glad that we were referred to Dr. Mootabar. Amniocentesis was a breeze. Hands as light as a feather.

I recently was admitted to the hospital and my usual Dr wasnt on call I ended having DR.Mootabar Delivery my baby. At first I was upset bc I made plans with my regualr Dr for delivery and was uncomfortable having a stranger deliver my child. It turns out he was even better and more compassoniate then my actual Dr and im grateful he delivered my baby girl.
