Doesn’t give you enough time to ask questions????

After two surgeries I've learned don't expect a lot of hand-holding or human-to-human interaction. Do expect a competent surgeon with successful results. That's a fair trade!

Dr. EL Kommos did a total knee replacement and it went very well. I appreciate all the staff. I was always treated well by all staff. I would recommend Dr. El Kommos as a highly skilled surgeon. He is straightforward and professional.

Dr El Kommos did my left knee replacement last year and the results were great. Pain gone and mobility restored. Recently I have had pain in right hip area and in a minute of checking, he said a hip replacement was not recommended and is trying alternate remedies. I think he is an excellent surgeon and have found his office staff to be competent and friendly.

Horrible experience, no people skills. Due to his ego and not listening to things I tried to tell him was going on with my shoulder, I am now having to go through surgery to re-break my shoulder due to bad alignment and if he would have listened to me when I tried to explain unusual and severe pain he could have found that I have a full tear of the rotator cuff that affects the entire length of the tendon. Wish I had changed doctors sooner!!! He gives the impression that women are beneath him. Had he given me the attention of a caring physician I would not be having to go through as much in surgery to correct his negligence. I know now don't just go to where ER refers you, check reviews FIRST! If I had, I would have probably never went to him. When he wanted me to start therapy, I was given a list of facilities by his staff, when he found out I wanted to use one that was near my home AND on his list, he went off on me and came right out and told me he makes money on me going to PT at his office and that's where he wanted me to go. That was last time I went to him.

Good service from Dr. El Kommos. Good description of what needed to be done and performed major surgery on a Sunday afternoon. Agree with many of the comments about no time with doctor but not sure I needed that in this case. Office staff has been great.

I’m having surgery here in a few days. Nurse was extremely rude!!!!!! Dr. Kommos isn’t much better. Physical therapist is as rude as the rest of them. No information about what is even happening. Physical therapist is telling me horror stories about that office. Seriously. I’m in tears!!!!

When I went to see Dr. El Kommos it was on a recommendation from a friend. I went in for my knee and leg pain. Well it wasn't my knee or leg it was my hip. He had a little trouble convincing me that was the problem. After months of terrible pain and not being able to walk I decided to have my hip replaced. The same day as surgery I was up and walking and I am so pleased I would recommend him to anyone. Be aware that he isn't very friendly at first but he does smile occasionally. Bedside manner is not what's important it is his skill.

It would be nice to have a Dr that actually cares about me as a patient.. you can be in the patient waiting room he looks in doesn't say good morning, how are you.. nothing, you might as well be a piece of the furniture he is a good surgeon, but no bedside manner justs walks out of the room when he is finished 2 to 3 mins you don't know whether to leave or stay.. As many negative comments he has gotten you would think he would try a little harder .

Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Must be nice to get paid and spend 60 seconds with patients. He literally tells you nothing and explains nothing. God forbid you have questions. And don't get me started on some glorified receptionist who walks around giving medical advice in his office. Don't even know what this guys position is but he felt the need to come into my exam room uninvited. I'll drive out of my way to Orlando before I go 10 minutes down the road to Dr. Kommos.

Provided excellent medical treatment and fulfilled expected expectations. His bedside manner can be a little short but once he gets to know you as a patient warms up.

Worst Knee surgeon ever. Should not be allowed to practice medicine!

On time for appointment, but waited 2 hours to be called back. Waited in patient care room for 25 more minutes, and heard Doctor take a patient whose appointment was after mine. Doctor spoke to me for 1 minute, and left the room without telling me what to do for problem. The nurse came in with Physical Therapy orders and said to come back in 4 weeks. I didn't get to ask any questions.

Dr Elcomos is very good but his assistant angelica is very rude, does not listen to what you are trying to say nor do i believe she really cares. She has a attitude that needs to be corrected. She needs to learn that we are the customer and also needs to learn how to treat the customer.

Friendly staff and that is where the review goes down hill. I was on time and was in the office for 2 and a half hours. Spent 4 minutes with the most rude and unconcerned "doctor " I don't even think it was 4 minutes. Didn't even tell me what follow up measures to implement. Said come back in 3 weeks. Barley looked at the X-rays or my foot

Dr El Kommos is the rudest most inconsiderate Dr I've ever had the displeasure of seeing. He's not willing to listen to what happened and if you're on workers comp then DON'T take this Dr ask your adjuster to please send you to someone else. He wouldn't go over my xrays or MRI with me like a normal doctor would with their patient. His bedside maner is obsolete. He was rude to my husband and what's worse he didn't ask me to relax my foot so that he could properly examine my ankle. He instead grabbed my ankle causing me to tighten up to keep him from hurting me worse than he was already. He didn't do anything to help he just made things worse and ended up hurting my feelings and my ankle which shouldn't ever happen. How he got a PhD in Orthopedic or doctor at all is unbelievable. Please stay away from this Dr. Especially if you value your injured body part so that no further damage can be done to that injured body part.

The only thing they do well is make an appointment. The wait time and lack of communication is incredible. The staff and doctors are arrogant and think they are doing YOU a favor by allowing them to serve you. Would not recommend.

Bedside manner is non-existant. Made a misdiagnosis, that put my health in jeopardy. I timed one of my visits at 45 seconds! Really? I decided to cut my losses and see a different doctor, who is a significant improvement.

I am 65 years old and have been a patient of Dr. El Kommos for over 20 years. He has treated me for many different reasons. Some include surgery to repair a broken ankle from a skiing accident, both rotator cuffs and was able to correct a problem with my hand that I thought I would have to live with forever. All the surgeries have been very successful. I even allowed him to operated on my Mother and she was extremely pleased. Occasionally there have been "wait times" in his office but that has all been corrected and currently there has been very little wait time. He is the most skilled, highly respected and ethical surgeon I have ever had the pleasure meeting. I have recommended him to many of my friends and they have been just as gratified. He would be the only doctor I would trust for any orthopedic reason. Thank you Dr. El Kommos!
