Dr. Hanita Kaur Chhabra, MD

I am so grateful for Dr. Chhabra. She treated me once many years ago for depression, then again recently for TMS and will again soon for another round of TMS. I cannot express enough how much I trust her. She is intelligent, kind, empathetic and genuine. She bends over backwards for her patients and gives you her full attention. She also tries to think outside the box to offer the best options for care. TMS was life changing for me and I regret waiting so long in my life to try it. I’ve recommended her to everyone who has ever expressed a need. Every time that I have met with her I’ve been impressed by her.

Seemingly nice, yet hugely business-minded. Capitalism trumps empathy and authenticity. Sure, if you want scripts written, you can get them. But if you want a doctor who is genuinely interested in helping you, I suggest looking elsewhere.

As a Physician myself with PTSD, severe anxiety and depression I have been under the care of Dr. Chhabra for 3 years. I have seen other Psychiatrists and Therapists and nobody compares to her compassion, dedication,skill and attitude. I highly recommend her. You will not be disappointed.

After 40 years of depression, 20+ years of therapy with 5 therapists with more than 12+ medicines I was lost and hopeless. Dr. Chabbra recommended deep TMS therapy. Well… Dr. Chhabra and her GREAT staff in Annapolis literally saved me! I can’t say enough about how GREAT Dr. Chhabra is as a psychiatrist. I only wished that she saw patients for psychotherapy because I got more from her in the few sessions that I saw her than I did in all of the 20+ years of therapy. Dr. Chhabra is an incredible professional who has excellent bedside manner. The Annapolis staff made me look forward to getting my daily deep TMS therapy treatments. There are no words to adequately express my gratitude to Dr. Chhabra and her great staff at her Annapolis office. Trust me, it is worth the drive to work with Dr. Chhabra and the awesome staff at the Annapolis location.

After years of struggling with depression, anxiety and lack of effective treatments, I reluctantly made an appointment with Dr. Chhabra. I had lost trust in the psychiatric community from negative experiences I have had with other physicians and treatments in the past. She is compassionate, highly skilled with medication regimens and was able to get me into a treatment plan that actually works! She spent a great deal of time with me discussing various options, even writing specific instructions on when to take the medications, when to increase the dose, side effects to look for, etc. She is a genius. I now feel my new "normal" and it is the best I have felt in 20+ years.

Dr. Chhabra is the best physiatrist I have seen. For several years I suffered from anxiety and depression. Several failed medications. I felt like there was no hope. I never thought I would feel normal again until I saw Dr. Chhabra. She takes the time to actually listen and help. She always knows the right things to say and the right questions to ask to get to the root of the problem. Unlike many of the other doctors I saw. She is always so compassionate and caring. I finally saw the light and the end of my tunnel. She has gone above and beyond to help me get better. I truly cannot thank her enough. She gave me hope again. I highly recommend seeing her!

I felt most fortunate to have Dr Sawhney attend to my mother while she was in the hospital. Dr. Sawhney's manner was both professional and caring. She is an asset to the GBMC staff.
