Worst compassion and lack of medical knowledge I've ever seen. Made me sit in a hospital bed for Almost 8 days before I had to transfer....WARNING..STAY AWAY.

Dr Madom relieved severe pain I had with spine fusion. He and his PAs were attentive and helpful during my healing process.

I had spinal fusion, L3-L5. Cannot believe the difference. The pain was debilitating and now there is no pain. I’m only 6 months post surgery and have been released. Dr Madom told me this morning that it is likely to still get better over the next 6-12 months. I wish someone had told me sooner that my fear of surgery was much worse than the actual surgery. Perhaps they should engage patient advocates. Everyone in this practice is top notch. I would recommend unconditionally. Thanks Dr Madom, Zach and Ali.

Before my surgery I was in unbearable pain in my neck and shoulder. I went through months of shots and physical therapy and nothing helped. After I met with Dr. Madom he determined that I needed c4-c7 fusion c5 Corpectomy and a c6-c7 Discetomy. Six weeks after my surgery I feel 100% better thanks to Dr. Madom. I can not thank him enough.

I’ve had sciatica for as long as I can remember. I’m a jeweler/watchmaker and my posture has all ways been an issue. Five years a go I went tomDr. madam and he looked at my MRI and sent me to PT, give me a list of stretching and said surgery should be my last resort. Over the last five years I did everything we all do. Acupuncture , massage, Chiropractor and lots of stretching. Then it happened, I had a sharp pain, like a electric zap in my big toe. This kept me up all night, every night. When I walked into Dr. Madom’s office, he looked at me and said, “your ready, aren’t you!” The surgery went well and upon my recovery, in two weeks I had no pain! I could walk and stand for long lengths of time and wasn’t looking for a Chair or wall to lean on. After 6 weeks I feel like I could do anything. Dr. Madom was not only professional in his field, his smile gave me and my wife a feeling of happiness knowing we picked the right Dr. “I have a life again!” Happy days!

I have a new back and it is better than I could imagine. L2-L3-L4, discs, rods and screws and I don’t even know they are there. By 6 weeks post op I was walking up to 18,500 steps in a day and even was able to start cleaning the leaves in my yard and this is before I even started therapy. This man is an amazing surgeon. I can’t thank him enough.

Thanks to Dr. Madom and all involved, after surgery, recovery, pt and patience I am walking again without pain going down my legs. Was previously diagnosed by other Doctors with chronic pain syndrome, lots of pt, and not progress. Finally found Dr. Madom, referred by a family member, and he reviewed by condition and provided surgery. So very thankful, even at 73 he didn't consider me too old to help.

Dr. Madom and his team are the best. Before I had my surgery I could no longer walk more than a 10th of a mile without severe pain. I had to roll out of bed in the morning and crawl to the bathroom. I had to hold onto things in order to get around. I had my surgery three weeks ago and there is no remaining pain that I was going through prior to the surgery. I can walk. 12 weeks after lumbar fusion w/ laminectomy I am able to fire up the chainsaw and start cutting and splitting logs for my firewood! I experienced sciatica pain so severe I couldn't stand up for more than ten minutes before the surgery. After suffering for 6 months with pain radiating down my right leg from a bulging disc that had shot out into my sciatic nerve and having gone to a chiropractor, physical therapist, general practitioner and had traction, dry needling, cupping and cortisone shots, I met with Dr. Madom who immediately told me what my problem was and how he could most likely fix it. I researched the problem and even went to Mass General for a second opinion, as that seemed like the intelligent thing to do. The Mass General doctor confirmed what Dr. Madom had told me so, because of his great credentials and friendly, manor I knew he was the doctor for me. I was scheduled for surgery promptly and everything went smoothly thanks to Dr. Madom's great expertise!!! He removed the bulging disc that was sticking into my sciatic nerve and I went home the same day!!! My 6 week recovery was painless and I am now back to my old self! I'm back at exercise class and walking miles. He's young, smart, personable and excellent at his craft! ( not to mention good-looking ):) We are very fortunate to have him at South County Hospital!!! After a year of theropy with little relief of agonizing pain in the low back and numbness down the legs I decided to see a surgeon. Knowing the fantastic surgeons at South County Ortho and the care given at South County Hospital first hand from four previous surgeries I gave them a call. Dr. Madom was the newcomer on the block but I knew he had to be good to join the Ortho team. After meeting Dr. Madom I was assured he was the right Doctor for me. Dr. Madom took the time to explain the problem in layman's terms and how to correct it. The surgery went well and soon I expect to be back to normal at 72 years of age. I have all the confidence in the world of Dr. Madom and the Ortho team and would not hesitate to use their services again.

Recently saw Dr. madom for a condition that has been brushed off and made to seem insignificant by other doctors for months. After a trip to the ER he immediately made me a priority taking my complaints very seriously. He me feel validated and not rushed when I saw him (in my opinion one of the most important things a doctor can do). He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Looking forward to surgery with him for much needed relief. (Also his staff was amazing as well)

After suffering from gradually worsening back pain for over 25+ years I was able to obtain relief after Dr. Madom performed surgery. It was like getting a new lease on life. I highly recommend him.

I visited Dr Madom with two herniated discs and serious sciatica pain. After he operated my pain was gone. Within three weeks I was back in the gym doing cardio and some light lifting. I was told my recovery was unusually fast, but it was what I experienced. I highly recommend Dr Madom and would not hesitate to go to him again if I develop future back problems.

Most people, from what I've witnessed, are looking for relieve from back pain. My situation was totally different. It was the numbness in my feet and legs that traveled up to my waist if I stayed on my feet too long or tried to walk more than 50 yards. I felt like I was walking in cement. The older I got, the worst it got. I'm 6'1, 220 lbs, 55 years old and use to pretty athletic. I saw two physicians before DR. Madom over 10 years with no relief-cortisone shots were their solutions. The last shot was so painful they couldn't perform it. As a family, we just worked around the situation as best we could. Dr. Madom had an MRI done and knew exactly what was wrong. I had severe spinal stenosis to the point where there was too much pressure on my lower spinal nerves due to a narrowing of the spinal canal. He verbally/visually explained the situation to my wife and I in layman terms. He even explained why the last cortisone shot was so painful- there was nowhere for the fluid from the shot to go due to narrowness of the canal. He explained the pros and cons of surgery. After 3 months, I had enough, the situation was rapidly increasing. We scheduled the surgery. To fix the situation Dr. Madom had to widening the spinal canal and install 8 pins and 2 rods for support. The operation was performed at South County Hospital- Excellent staff. Due to a doctor that knew what he was doing, full participation in rehab (on site and off at my own gym) and a pushy wife, I have pretty much have full ROM in my lower back, I'm back at the gym,back scuba diving and walking up to 2 miles already. Everyone on his team makes you feel special up to and including his physician assistant (Ida Kruse) and all his other numerous medical assistants. In my case maybe I was lucky. But I'll take a great doctor, friendly team players and a little bit of luck anytime.
