Dr. Igor Khelemsky is exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced in the field of neurology. It is rare to meet an expert of his caliber who is as thoughtful in their assessments and treatments. He is also elegant, understanding and kind.

I am a disabled military veteran who came here to be seen for headaches and migraines. I was seen by some sort of a nurse practitioner, who gave me a shot for my headache relief, and two prescriptions. I was then told to go to another room to be tested, where they placed a device on my head for about 30 minutes. I was then sent off-site for an MRI on the brain. I was scheduled for an appt on 2/6. When I went, I was told that I had an outstanding balance of $350. When I asked what this was for, they said, "For your tests." I asked to see the doctor and was told that the doctor will not see me unless I paid the balance. I left upset. I still do not know my results. As a part of the disability claim with the Veterans Affairs, I gave them the information for this office to request medical records. The VA sent me a notice yesterday stating that they still have not received a response from Dr. Khelemsky's office. So not only was I refused medical care as someone who has served the nation, but I they are withholding the release of my documents. My insurance company paid them whatever funds that was necessary. It is not my fault that I was coerced to take some kind of test where they never verified the insurance would cover it; I never asked for that test.

Doctor Igor's staff which i think represent him as well is very RUDE. I inquired to get the ultrasound report which was done month ago and spoke with Marina(at Rego Park office) and her attitude was too much to be excepted, she hanged up while i was asking for the report to be mailed or Faxed to me. She said that she is taking care of the patients that are in office, but she cannot provide assistance for the patients which have been see prior in that office. This is disappointment for me. I think this Doctor needs to educate his employees and have better courtesy.

completly indifferent to his patients. The whole practice is to rip off insurance and out you go. Spends couple if minutes on a patient.Most positive rewiews here were not by real patients.

Extremely rude and abrupt. First time meeting and when you explain the problem he cuts you off and says the PA explained things to him. Ridiculous she spent 5 min with me. Never examined me or came back to me after the tests. I dealt with the PA the whole time. They need to take patients seriously about there pain and give options. Being a new pt and sitting in the waiting room listening to another pt tell me she's there to get her narcotic scripts from them. Seems they should control this and take care of patients with severe problems instead of a 2 min visit with him making a appearance in the room only to be rude and dismissive. Don't waste your time at this uncaring lack of care so called doctor.
