When I first sought orthopedic care at 30 yrs old, he was advised to me after I saw 2 doctors previously. I was seeing him just because it's always advised to see more than 1 doctor even though I had already committed to the idea of one of the previous doctors. But after 5 min during my visit to Dr. Kazanjian, my mind was completely changed and Dr. Kazanjian was the orthopedic surgeon for me. My first visit was for a torn labrum in my right shoulder. I dislocated my shoulder 2x. I probably should have seen a doctor many years earlier from all the wear and tear from many years of tennis, volleyball, and weight lifting. Dr. Kazanjian performed arthroscopic surgery and had to make 2 additional incisions (usually the routine is just 3 incisions) to completely repair my labrum. A few years later, I tore my medial meniscus in my left knee playing volleyball. Dr. Kazanjian relocated to a different medical facility that was farther from my house. So I found a different doctor that wanted to perform surgery. After thinking about it, I ended up finding Dr. Kazanjian's new location despite how far it was. Once again, after the visit he changed my mind again. He said that the tear wasn't that bad and recommended AGAINST surgery for the short term and do physical therapy. I never got the surgery. Many years later, I sometimes forget which knee I injured. After all these issues, I ended up getting into yearly triathlons with my dad and sister. It's one of the best family bonding experiences I have and it wouldn't have happened if it weren't for Dr. Kazanjian. My family has participated in the Steelman at Lake Nockamixon, Philadelphia TriRock, Philadelphia Escape to name a few. I also got the opportunity to participate in a triathlon in Japan, an experience I'll never forget. Other activities that I have participated in (after 40 years old) are SPARTAN races. At this point, I will travel as far as I need to for any future visits if necessary.

I was sent to this doctor by my neurologist for an ulnar nerve (In your elbow) problem in my right arm that was verified by an EMG (nerve conduction study) as to the exact location of the nerve damage. Kazanjian asked if I wanted him to do carpel tunnel surgery while I was under anesthesia. I didn't have a carpel tunnel problem. I contacted the person who did the EMG and told her his proposition. She paused and said "you don't have carpel tunnel". I'm reporting this because he may be doing unnecessary on other people.

My shoulder was badly damaged over a period of 25 years. Just 4 months after surgery and I feel better than I have in decades. Amazing.

After reading these reviews I can’t believe the ones who gave 5 stars. Emergency situation and was operated on by dr. Jack. Started having problems with healing and on my last visit he accused me of not being positive. Very aggressive, arrogant and made me feel as though he is god and I am all healed. I’m not sure why there is such a discrepancy on the rating scale but if you come to a doctor in pain or with a problem don’t belittle them. This is a mess

Dr. Kazanjian did an excellent job repairing my elbow. Very thorough with exams leading up to surgery. Office visits were on time if not earlier. Office personnel are friendly and helpful. Overall experience has been wonderful!

Dr Kazanjian is an excellent surgeon . He did a great job fixing my 80 yr old Mom's broken arm. He could not have been more caring and kind.

I was impressed with Dr. Kazanjian's knowledge and experience. He was able to quickly diagnosis my supraspinatus shoulder injury and had a no-nonsense approach to both the surgery and rehabilitation. While different shoulder injuries have varying degrees of pain, lack of mobility and length of rehabilitation, I am happy to report my shoulder is feeling great. I was able to return to my full activities in only five months.

I have had both rotator cuffs repaired. The second surgery involved extensive damage. I am active in contact sports and was able to get back to the contact. I was appreciative of the nuances of the surgery that Dr. Jack told me would happen. I would be able to have contact, but the strength would be slow in coming back. And that what happened, is happening. I was pleased enough with the surgery that when my wife required a similar surgery, I had no hesitation recommending Dr. Jack.

Dr. Kazanjian is an old school doctor in the new world of medicine. He explains everything to you like an old friend that just so happens to have a degree in orthopedics.To the point and concise about your treatment and following rehab. By far the best ortho doctor that I have ever had to deal with.

I can't say enough about Dr. Kazanjian. From his diagnosis to his post surgical follow up care, he made me feel comfortable every step of the way.

Dr. Kazanjian is a true professional. He performed the surgery I had for a torn triceps. Not only did Dr. Kazanjian do a great job in the operating room, he was very informative and friendly during my follow up visits with him. He explained, very thoroughly, what had been done and answered any questions I had for him. His staff is also very friendly and professional. Dr. Kazanjian's services and staff are both top notch.

Seeing some mixed reviews of Dr Kazanjian, not really sure why, he's the man! It's always possible for a surgery to fail or not meet your expectations but I can honestly say Dr. Kazanjian has gotten my shoulder to about 99% (extreme slight loss of ROM) from a labrum tear and talking with friends/family who had shoulder surgery for similar issues (not from Dr. Kazanjian) I can say nobody made out better than me. Also you need TIME and PATIENCE, I feel some of these people posting haven't completely recovered yet. I really cannot thank him enough for what he did to me I'm stronger than ever and am PAIN FREE! It's a miracle we have people like him who can so drastically change your quality of life, I can't imagine if I got injured 40-50 years ago and nothing could be done about it!

I don't like Dr Jack Kazanjian last year. He treated me like childhood. He is rude, selfish and don't listen how I felt. I have shoulder pain for one year and three months. He did not find any MRI. He did shot my shoulder steriod twice. Still shoulder pain for one year and So my family dr referred me to another orthopaedic doctor. He found that I have worst labrum rc and bad inflammation. He believed me that I am right. He cares about me. I never returned to Dr. Jack Kazanjian again.

Operated on my shoulder twice after a bad fall. After the second surgery I had no use of my shoulder, arm or hand. After the second surgery Dr. Kazanjian told my shoulder was healed. During recovery and physical therapy he made light of my extreme pain that continued after surgery. The physical therapist called him because she was told by him to rotate my shoulder causing clicking of bones that was unbearable. Finally sought help from a top orthopedic surgeon at the University of Pennsylvania . He looked at my most recent x-ray and told me my shoulder was still broken and no wonder I was still in extreme pain. At this point it was too late to do anything to recover the use of my arm. Dr. Kazanjian lied to me and ridiculed me for complaining about ongoing pain. I am permanently disabled and know he would not admit he was in over his head and should have referred me to a better doctor for the second surgery. I spoke to other Doctors who told me he was forced to leave a practice because of poor results after surgery. Do not ever trust this Doctor or let him operate on you.

excellent DR He makes u feel at ease and and you realize immediately that he is extremely competent. I was totally satisfied with every aspect of his care and thankful to be in such competent hands.

I saw him in urgent care. Rude, arrogant, dismissive, and judgmental are the words that come to mind. I went to urgent care for good cause and he made me feel like an idiot to be there. I ve spent > 20 years in direct care, seen my share of Docs I would not subject my pet dog to. This one now heads that list. I went specifically to see an orthopod and I hope this problem gets better but if it does it will be in spite of this osteopath. He also enjoyed eliciting pain. I wonder if I did something awful to him in a past life cause he treated me like crap from moment one.
