Dr. Jack Meridith Rowland, MD

I became a patient of Dr. Rowland by absolute chance. I was originally seeing a doctor in Winchester, TN. and I went into Pre-term labor. I was sent to Parkridge East so they could continue trying to stop my labor and if necessary take care of my twins in the NICU there. My water ended up breaking and Dr. Rowland happened to be the doctor on call that night so he performed my emergency c-section. After my surgery, he came to check in on me daily, sometimes multiple times a day, until I was released from the hospital. I am beyond thankful that he was the doctor on call that night, he treated me with so much compassion and he genuinely cared about me even though I was just thrown at him at random. That experience sealed it for me that I never wanted to see any other doctor besides him. I struggled to get pregnant with my second child and he helped me through it. Once I did become pregnant, he went above and beyond to make sure that I had a successful pregnancy and made sure I stayed pregnant as long as possible. I truly can NOT say enough good things about Dr. Rowland.

I had left my original OB at 35 weeks due to issues in my pregnancy that (the original Dr.) would not address. I felt neglected. I kept telling (original Dr.) About these problems And was never treated seriously, couldn't even get a telephone call back from (original Dr.) I knew all about the issue at hand, as I had experienced the same issue with my previous pregnancy. That is when I found Dr. Rowland and I am so glad I did. I came into his office and Dr.Rowland immediately gave me the medical attention I needed. My fluid was extremely low, which could have hurt my baby. I was leaking fluid. My first visit he took me straight in and treated me like gold. Through his great treatment and expertise I delivered my daughter full term with Dr. Rowland. My husband was the only one in the room when I gave birth. Once she came out Dr Rowland immediately realized it was a special moment that needed to be captured. He grabbed my husbands phone and started taking pics of our new bundle of joy and our reactions as we first held her. Hes amazing. Dr. Rowland also completed my tubal ligation. He was a little late getting to me as I was prepped in surgery waiting. (This can happen with OBs as they are running around town helping women deliver their babies) he apologized for being late then when I woke up he had a Starbucks gift card with an apology note attached. He is just the most caring, patient, loving physician. His office is well maintained. He doesnt overload his office with too many patients and he actually listens when you talk with him. I love Dr. Rowland!

I worked in Labor and Delivery at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas, California. I was having female issues and chose Dr Rowland for my visit. I know OB/GYN's run late and I did not have a problem waiting. When I returned to work the next day that was a personal hand written note from Dr Rowland appoligising for being late. I needed surgery and I knew I did not have to worry. Encinitas misses you Dr Rowland.

Dr. Rowland has taken care of myself and my daughters for years now and there has NEVER been a bad experience with him or his staff. I would recommend him to anyone.

He has delivered all my children, and has taken care of me through my recovery, done all my yearly exams, gives me positive feedback, has always cared ...

Dr Rowland was my GYN in Encinitas, California and he also delivered babies at the hospital where I worked. I worked in labor and delivery and I loved working with Dr Rowland. It was a very sad day in labor and delivery when we learned Dr Rowland was moving. If you are a patient of Dr Rowland I am so envious and you are SO SO SO lucky.

He helped me through my very difficult pregnancy and was the ONLY doctor of the 10 or so that I saw before delivering who was kind to me, who looked me in the eyes, and explained things to me, and actually took the time to let me express my fears and ask questions. I had never met Dr Rowland or any of the other doctors at Parkridge because I was supposed to deliver in another city, but became high-risk and had to be sent somewhere with a NICU at the end of my pregnancy. And now I can honestly say that, even though he is nearly 2 hours away, if I were to have another child, I would make the trip to his office to have him take care of me. I owe my life and the life of my son to him, because he did not rush to deliver me. Rather, he kept my son where he needed to be (inside me!) until it became necessary. I think the fact that my son was born 6 weeks early at 4 lbs without tubes or breathing machines or IV's can be largely attributed to the care that Dr Rowland gave to me! He stayed in contact with my nurse the entire night that my condition quickly declined and was at the hospital before sunrise to deliver my son by emergency c-section. So I just want to say THANK YOU to Dr Rowland, and I highly recommend him!

I have enjoyed having Dr. Rowland as my oby gyn, the atmosphere in the office is at ease and I never feel lost or unwanted. Him and his staff is understanding and willing to help if they are needed.

When I first moved to the Tn. area, left my whole family in Florida I was a basketcase for the first year. Dr. Rowland was so patient through all my tears, he helped me get through that depressing year. With every pain I had he always had the right diagnoses, No matter how many times I said I dont know about that he would give me my instructions and call me later to check up on my progress to healing. He was my very first Dr. That I do not want to leave and will probably continue to come back at least once a year for my annual, Thank you so much Dr. Rowland for everything you and your nurses have helped me through yall are the best. I will miss you all.

My annual exam with Dr. Rowland was one of the most comfortable I've ever had. It was very easy. You can tell he's a genuinely nice person. The nurse who did my intake even commented on how sweet he is. Like the first reviewer, I can defintely see myself pinching his cheeks. Aside from being nice though, he seems to also be skilled in his profession.

Dr. Jack is my all time favorite. I have seen alot of docs in my life due to moving around, health problems etc. I just about fainted one day when HE himself called me with lab results. I had never had the actual doc call and talk to me--- always a nurse relaying the message. i guess all the other docs i have used didn't know how to use a phone ha ha. by the way that phone call was not a one time occurrence.anyway, this man is so calm and polite and sweet i just want to pinch his cheek and you will too. i pray often that he will be able to deliver all of my babies for me.

I was a patient of Dr. Rowland's when he was in Nashville, he delivered my second child. He was the best doctor I have ever had and gave me the most wonderful experience ever when I had my daughter. He made me a promise while I was pregnant and he kept that promise on the day he delivered her and I will never forget that. He is truly a wonderful man, person, and doctor! I miss him so much!

I worked for Dr. Rowland while he was in Nashville and I still have patients ask me where they can find him. All of his Nashville patients would drive two hours to see him it they could. Aside from being a wonderful surgeon he is the most caring man I have ever worked with. He treats everyone with compassion. He is also very patient with people. Dr. Rowland really listens to everything the patient has to say.
