Dr. J. Thomas Chon, MD

Took my mom to Dr. Chon today. He was so patient and understanding. Spent so much time with us going over medical history, current situation, future possibilities, all in a kind, gentle manner. Felt that he had my mom's best interests at heart. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Chon spent a lot of time with me as a new patient, getting to know my past medical history and formulating a plan of care. It is a lost art, that physicians actually get to spend time with their patients. It was a welcome and pleasant surprise and I will recommend him to anyone who will need an amazing endocrinologist.

My husband and I have been Dr. Chon’s Patients since he started in Morristown. He is the very best! He gives you much time and is meticulous in his handling of patients and their concerns. Again, he is the very best!

No longer in practice

Impossible to make an appointment for months. Doesn't matter how good the doc is if you cannot see him.

He is an amazing doctor who is honest & thorough so it keeps his practice very busy hence the lower ease of appointment rating . One other note, the office is no longer on Lindsley Ave.

My first appointment was cancelled by their office after I already took off from work. When I went two weeks later (earliest appt available), I was 15 minutes late and they refused to see me even though I rescheduled for them. Lost two days work and still did not see the MD

so busy i don't know how he keeps up. office needs better magazines and air freshener and wi-fi access

impeccable expertise in specific field of medicine, viz. endocrinology, along with genuine compassion given to his patients

Love him. He is a wonderful doctor. Prompt courteous and very knowledgeable. He is aware of my other medical conditions and is reasonable with my medications. He is very encouraging about my ability to meet goals and get better results on things like controlling my my sugar ranges.

When you finally get to speak to Dr. Chon he is professional, pleasant and caring. I have no doubt that he is an excellent endocrinologist. My one and only complaint is that I must wait at least 30 mins. to be seen. On one occassion I actually waited 75 mins.!

He is excellent had me come in am before they opened to fit me in when I was experiencing glucose problems! Personally calls with blood work if issue

I would really love to know who really writes these reviews, maybe the doctors themselves. When seeing Dr. Chon you better make sure you either have a day off or time to sit in a small office waiting area for over an hour to see him. I have been to his office on many occasions where the longest wait was about 90 minutes. So if you want to sit around and really have nothing to do in the day maybe Dr. Chon is the right choice for you.

I started to see Dr. Chon as he was highly recommended by my grandparents. They were right. He is a great doctor. He is caring and attentive. He makes sure that you understand your illness and what to do about it. I have recommended him to my friends.

Dr. Chon has been my doctor for the last 2 years. I went to Dr. Chon after my previous endocrinologist told me that my thryoid cancer was to far advanced for him to take care of. I was referred to a surgeon at Sloane Kettering Cancer Center by Dr. Chon. I had lymph node and neck dissection and my medication has been adjusted. I am doing well and I am being monitored by Dr. Chon. He has been reassuring and kind. He answers my questions and I do not feel rushed. I have referred my friends and neighbors to him and they are very happy with him.

Dr. Chon provided excellent care for my daughter who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Thanks to his expertise in making the diagnosis, performing the biopsy, and making recommendations for surgery and radioactive iodine therapy, my daughter is well and feels secure in his care.

I felt that his dedication and commitment to providing excellent care to patients were clearly shown in his interaction with me. I felt that I had his undivided attention during my visit. He is an excellent physician.

Dr. Chon is very thorough and caring. He has excellent bedside manner and communication skills. He asked many questions and answered all of my questions. I would recommend him to my friends and family.
