Dr. Banovetz is one of the best. Stevens Point Orthopedics has very credible doctors, surgical staff and clinical staff. I have had several surgeries, all by Dr. Banovetz. Knowledge, compassion, are fine qualities they instill with their patients. No 1 facility!! I would rate a 10.

Dr Banovetz examined me for a hip problem that wasn’t solved with several procedures. Surgery seemed to be the next step. After thoroughly examining my hip he determined that surgery was not warranted. I will be starting a PT treatment as an alternative solution. I highly recommend.

His office set up my surgery on my hand. Then I ran from Wisconsin Rapids to Stevens Point and then to see my primary in Waupaca. The same night with my primary, I got a call to do his review over then phone and left a great review. Then next day his office calls and tell me that they couldn't do the surgery because of my hga1c. When I made the appointment with Dr. James M Banovetz. I Told his office about my hga1c and I was told that his staff would have to talk to him to see if he would see me. I got a call back that he would see me. Went to see him,.told him about my hga1c. He said that I should have the cyst removed. I had to set up an appointment to see my primary to get clearance for the surgery. My doctor had no issues with me having the surgery. I ran all over for these appointments for nothing. My time and gas money was wasted. He nknew about the hga1c. Then this office calls me the day after I see my doctor to get clearance, Dr. James M Banovetz canceled the surgery. I have had several surgeries where my hga1c has always been the same. The administration told me that this is elective surgery, that is why the doctor denied to do to surgery. I have had 4 elective surgery and some were cyst just like he was removing in my hand. Dr. James M Banovetz is unprofessional and his office should reimburse my gas money. He saw me knowing my situation and still saw me. Wasted my time and gas money and billed my insurance. They violated my rights and denied me a surgery that needs to be done because of the pain the cyst is causing me. And I'll list one right being violated. The right to get medical care. The right to be treated with respect. I could go on several more rights. I had a hysterectomy. Medical I didn't need a hysterectomy but I was having alot of pain with my monthly. My OB doctor check with my diabetic doctor and since my hga1c has always been the same. My diabetic doctor said it wouldn't be an issue, If I wanted the surgery done. Had my tubes tied and wasn't going to have more kids, so I said yes. There was more danger with that surgery then with the scyst in my hand. The point I'm making is they waste your time and money, when Dr. James M Banovetz should have denied seeing me in the first place before I ran all over for nothing. Like I said , they should reimburse me for the gas. And the administration told me no.
