Dr. J. Chan was terrific. Knowledgeable, sensitive, informative… we immediately felt at ease – and felt confident in my moms receiving expert medical care. The staff is always helpful and my experience with other medical professionals in this office has always been above my level of standards. Walked away, very impressed. The overall experience. It took some time for me to get an appointment because Dr. Chan is so busy, but once I got in, everything moved pretty fast. I was scheduled for surgery within 2 weeks, and his office is very organized, and professional. I knew exactly what to expect, what my insurance would pay, and how much I was responsible for. I got very clear directions on where to go, and when to follow up. Seems like basic information but most doctor's offices cannot get this right-- Dr. Chan's office is great. This is truly how healthcare should be.

Broke my nose while sleeping and my dad fell over my dog landing on my face. Dr. Chan was able to see me the next day, and fixed my nose. I was worried my nose would never be the same but after 1 month, I am certain I will not notice anything. Interestingly my breathing improved, and I asked Dr. Chan about that-- he said the straightening my broken nose may have also improved my airway. Not my recommendation for improving snoring, but breaking my nose may have been one of the best things to happen to me. Dr. Chan is a great doctor and I highly recommend him.

A warning about this office-- Dr. Chan is great, and I would highly recommend him. However, it can take a long time to get an appointment with him because he is busy, and very much in demand. I had to cancel my first appointment because of a work emergency, and I could not get back in to see him for 4 weeks! Another thing, although his work is of the highest quality, do not expect it to be cheap. In life, you get what you pay for and I do feel that Dr. Chan is worth the cost. I have seen bad work, and I would not want that for me even at a discount so that is why I paid up to see Dr. Chan. I am very happy with my nose job, and I believe it is worth every penny to know that I am in good hands.

I was recommended by a few friends to Reviance and Dr. Chan. Dr. Chan is fantastic! I love the youthful look of my skin now that I have had my treatments-- botox, voluma, and juvederm. He takes the time to understand my goals, and helped me achieve fuller lips, smoother skin, and reduction of fine lines around my eyes. It feels great to constantly hear how young my skin looks and how pretty my face is since Dr. Chan's treatment.

Great staff, and great surgery center. Dr. Chan is a competent, smart, and intelligent doctor. He helps you sort through your problems and provides the best solution. He will help you decide on the best treatment without pressuring you one way or another as some doctors will do. Once I scheduled my surgery, the experience at the Mt Scott Surgery Center was excellent. The staff were so kind, and you can tell they cared.

Very easy to work with office. I called and they got me in right away. Made me confident in their care, and Dr. Chan is very professional. Spent time discussing my options and even though I know he is busy, he did not rush me.

I had severe neck pain and my primary care doctor did a scan. He referred me to Dr. Chan for surgery because I had a thyroid nodule, and a lump in my salivary gland. Dr. Chan did my surgery and it was a success. My pain is now gone, and I can swallow without discomfort. He did a great job-- the surgery must have been very difficult although he did not admit to it. I was in the operating room for about 3 hours. Although my incision is long-- almost from one side of my neck to the other, the scar is hardly noticeable. I guess that is why Dr. Chan is a plastic surgeon.

Prior to my first consultation with Dr. Chan I was intimidated to come to a plastic surgeons office. Upon my arrival, I felt welcomed by the staff which made me feel comfortable to move forward with acne scar revision. Dr. Chan and his staff went above and beyond expectation in the process of my scar revision.

I met Dr. Chan at the Portland Women Fair and discussed improving my appearance. I had undergone three significant Mohs surgeries on my face and wanted to fix some of the after effects. I just had some fillers and Botox. Then upper eyelid surgery to realign my eye appearance. I recently had C02 laser on my face and am very happy wit the results. I joined the VIP program and plan on seeing Dr. Chan for more work on the appearance of scars.

My results after two weeks are way beyond my expectations! My deep wrinkles around my nose have smoothed out, smokers lines as well, eyes smooth and lifted, forehead is totally smooth!

Dr. Chan performed C02 laser facial resurfacing on me. I felt totally taken care of. He and his staff are professional and you are in good hands. The resurfacing procedure really helped create a smoother skin and got rid of wrinkles (especially the lower half of my face) and skin pigmentation. Highly recommend the procedure and Dr. Chan.

I just moved to Portland from Kansas City, and had to find an ENT doctor to help me with a lump on my forehead. Dr. Chan was very professional, courteous, and did an excellent job removing the lump. This is a review for Dr James Chan regarding Asian blepharoplasty. I was searching for a doctor to correct inconsistencies between my two eyes, and I am so glad I chose Dr Chan. I was searching for a doctor with great bedside manner (I believe that if someone is approachable, they will deliver upon what YOU want, which is extremely important in this situation), someone with experience (I felt my eyes were complicated as they were 'inconsistently asymmetric'), and someone who would perform this procedure without heavy anesthesia (we used local) to greatly reduce risk. He listened to me and absolutely delivered by fixing the asymmetry and deepening my barely-there folds yet leaving me with a natural-looking appearance. I can't say enough about his staff; Kayla, who cheerfully helped me with all of my crazy (re-)scheduling and questions, and Yvonne, who assisted Dr Chan during the initial consult and during the procedure. Dr Chan was available 24/7 via his personal cell phone, and did everything in his power to accommodate my needs. Everyone made me feel like I was the most important person in the world. I couldn't believe how simple the procedure was with Dr Chan, and I am just so thrilled with the results. My highest recommendations go to Dr Chan and staff at Reviance!

I can breathe so much better, thank you Dr. Chan! I had a deviated septum from a previous sports injury and had continuous headaches, sinus infections, and snoring. Dr. Chan repaired my deviated septum, and worked on my sinuses. Immediately after surgery I could tell that my breathing was much better. It took about 1 week, but after my recovery, I could smell and taste better, and my wife said I snored less.

Dr. Chan removed a skin cancer from my nose and repaired it beautifully. He is a kind, and wonderful doctor. He is pleasant, and his office is very professional.

I am extremely pleased with the result of the CO2 laser resurfacing. It has been 2 weeks and my skin has a smooth quality to it and the brown age spots are gone. The procedure greatly reduced my wrinkles, especially around the mouth and chin area. Dr. Chan and his staff are professional and know what they are doing -very competent. Highly recommend!
