Dr. James Steven Garfield, DO

I read a few reviews that seem to be from family members-NOT patients! Guess the fact that your family members were illiterate and unable to read their prescription warnings? I have gone to this doctor for a good 15yrs and he quickly diagnoses my complaints and refers me to the proper care e.g; physical therapy, dietitian or skin care doctor. In fact, he wouldn't give my then husband a script for pain meds as he could see through his performance of feigned ailments. If you are looking for a great family care physician who is well versed in sports medicine too, then this is the doctor for you.

It takes a special person to be aware of what you need and be able to explain it to you in no uncertain terms while providing a comfort level for your patients, especially those like me who fear the worst. Dr. Garfielf is very laid back and assuring, I felt very confident with his assessment of me prior to his diagnosing my condition and prescribing me with a treatment plan. Dr. Garfield is the most kind and caring doctors I have ever been to. And I will drive the 30 mins it takes to reach him if and whenever needed. If you are looking for a straight up, laid back down to earth professional Doctor who knows his stuff then Dr. Garfield is the doctor for you! Been going for nearly 14yrs now

He got my brother hooked on pain meds also. His nick name is Dr. Feel Good.

Love him, he is knowledgeable from geriatrics to sports medicine. Couldn't ask for a better Dr. or staff.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Garfiled for over twenty five years. He has been a blessing to my family and me.

Went once years ago and not impressed, changed doctors. Also, he got several of my family members hooked on pain meds even though they had no medical diagnoses that would require such strong pain meds. He is well known for this, has sanctions from State of Michigan against him. Avoid.

Great doctor Spends time to go over my Illness. Calls me at home to see how I'm doing. Goes above and beyond any Doctor I ever had before!
