I have seen Dr Hellesons work first hand many times and not by choice. In this small town you really get No choices for decent care providers so sadly, you get stuck with him. I have been treated less than human on each and every visit, leaving the appointment either in severe pain, completely confused or crying from the insults I received while there. Usually all of the above and because of this after each visit I would have to sit in my car for few minutes in total disbelief about what just happened, emotionally torn up from being treated like an addict and liar, shaking and crying...just trying to collect myself before leaving the parking lot. Having nightmares about upcoming "follow-up" appointments was very common. Finally I said enough was enough. He was employed by me. He FAILED. He's FIRED ! I will never pay someone to treat me like that ever again. If you suffer from any kind of acute or chronic pain, DO NOT GO TO HIM as he will treat you like nothing more than a common drug dealer off the street corner. His attitude towards those with serious pain is appalling and he should be investigated for not providing adequate care to those in need. Another thing I would like to mention is that he's ALWAYS late for appointments or doesn't show up at all. He prescribes whatever he wants and really doesn't care what you know will work from past experiences. He will pretend to be thoughtful and kind at the start of any visit but 5 minutes into it he will ask a question but then be so rude he wont allow you to answer it and will cut you off or literally turn his back on you. Another dirty little trick he likes to play is not faxing your scrips over to the drugstore, where you can wait in line till way past 5pm, only to find out they were never even sent over and conveniently his office is now closed. I could go on but I think you get the idea.
