Dr. James Kerner

I went yesterday to see Dr. Kerner. They were quick to get me in for my appointment . The staff is wonderful and Dr. Kerner was kind and very attentive. He wasn't in a rush and he gave me a comprehensive exam. But I've gotta say that his COVID protection for his face made me laugh! Nothing is getting by him!!!!

I enjoyed my visit with Dr. James D. Kerner himself he was great and thorough...I have a problem with his office staff...I received a telephone voicemail and I tried for 2 days to talk to the person that left the message...never picksup the telephone and doesn't return the message left on their voice mail.....

I was mis diagnosed by two doctors, they told me I had shingles. When I saw Dr. Kerner, he told me 100% not shingles, 100% he could cure my problem. After dealing with this for four months, it was gone in 4 days.

He spent less than 10 minutes, gave me 3 prescriptions, one that sent me to the hospital 2, He and his staff never returned 5 calls. I just don’t trust him.

This doctor is a $$$$ grabber. He will be out the door smiling at you. Does NOT diagnosis your problem, but loves to biopsy anything HE THINKS is skin cancer.

It is very difficult to get a nurse to answer a phone -in question.

Found an aggressive melanoma that was very small and was able to remove it. If he wasn't so careful during screening, it would have been missed.

The Office staff was very plesant and helpfull. I did not have a wait for my appoitment. Dr. Kerner made my visit a good expierance and made me feel like all will be ok.

After being a patient of Dr. Kerner's for many years, I feel I must find another doctor. Dr. Kerner himself is wonderful to work with but the office situation is intolerable! Even after several months with a new management company the office staff are not informed and have little knowledge of the billing system. When asked to explain a question, they defer to the billing company but don't offer a way to contact said company.

Bad billing, decline in service

Scheduled an appointment 2 months in advance, and drove a great distance to get there. Waited over an hour past my appointment time, and never saw the Doctor! Scheduling staff is obviously incompetent - does not bode well for practice in general.

Best dermatologist I have ever had

I was referred to Dr. Kerner by my plastic surgeon for an evaluation of an extremely rare sarcoma I had removed in Denver in 2014. After I was brought to an examination room, Dr. Kerner arrived promptly, spent time reviewing my medical history with me and then examined the site of the sarcoma as well as my torso, hands and arms. He has a great chair-side manner. I highly recommend him.

The office staff at this establishment are immature. Every time I've been in for an appointment they are gossiping loud enough for all patients to hear. Last time I was there, the office staff was screeching and laughing. Finally, plan on spending an extra hour past your appointment time in the waiting room and exam room, only to be seen by the doctor for 3 minutes.

Very competent; smart, observant, honest. I'm very happy with him.

He solved my issue with three treatments

Dr Kerner is an excellent and knowledgeable Dr. My husband had swollen lymph nodes in the groin and Dr Kerner referred him appropriately to another cancer doctor. My husband turned out to have prostate cancer. Dr Kerner has taken top care of our skin growths, cancers etc. He has a wonderful bedside manner and takes the time to care. I don't feel like a number. My husband and I both worked in the medical field.
