Dr. James Richard Bates, MD

Dr. Bates is very thorough, and very direct, but also very kind in his manner. He listens, explains completely, and answers your questions directly with no beating around the bush. Also his office runs on time - which he makes plain the first time you see him. If you have a 9 a.m. appointment, by 9:03 you're in the exam room getting your vitals taken. Overall, I'd say Dr. Bates is probably the best doctor I've ever had in my 60+ years on the planet.

Dr Bates is the best Doctor I have ever had. Follow up is the best I have ever experienced. His ability to diagnose has been accurate every time.

This doctor performed an exam on me and handled me like I was some kind of creature rather than a human being. When he told me the diagnosis of my condition over the phone he was very abrupt and hung up on me. His bedside manner is completely inappropriate and he several HIPPA laws during our appointment. I will never see this doctor and again and am very concerned for anyone who is continuing to seek medical help from this cynical, egoistic, not to mention narcissistic, sorry excuse for a doctor!

This dr. called me with the results of a test. While one other Dr. read the test and told me that I had a few minor issues we needed to address based on the test findings, this Dr. also called me and stated things like, "This is very serious...we have a lot of work to do...you're not going to like this....I don't have time to explain things to you. Just deal with it... .Why do you have so many questions? My time is more valuable than this." And the like. I had just 2 questions. TWO. We were on the phone a total of 4 minutes. This was the most unprofessional conversation I've ever had with a doctor. I have also seen him in person. He basically dismissed all of my concerns and stated, "This is all just minor. You're young. You'll be fine." So, things don't add up with him either. I'm definitely leaving this practice, FAST.

Dr. Bates is a great doctor. He works closely with you. He follows up after appointments, even calls with the report of all your test.

Cynical king of malpractice. I you want to die, go see this loser.
