Dr. James V Stonecipher, MD

Many physicians have excelled in their fields while losing touch with the needs of their patients. Dr Stonecipher is not only an extremely talented as well as dedicated physician, he also maintains great rapport with the patients as well as their families. He respects the patients confidentiality while still managing to include the family in the care plan. I would strongly recommend him to my friends and family!

I would highly recommend Dr. Stonecipher to anyone needing pain managment. He is so kind and gentle, explains every step along the way. Is willing to work with you collaboratively to manage issues. Time management in his office is very good. I so appreciate both him and Tim his NP.

After 27 years as an International Directory in the O&J biz. I have travelled a lot of bad placed with some nasty airlines and bad seats. I have been with Dr. Stonecipher for over 6 years and every 3 or 4 months, he does a review of pain and shots are applied to special areas to relieve pain..WOW, IT WORKS FANTASTIC...

Dr. Stonecipher was just what my Husband needed. He was in so much pain by the time we got the appointment, but the doctor eased our minds, and assured us that the problem was fixable. He was very patient, and answered all our questions. I highly recommend him if you're in pain and need some relief.

I can go into this office and expect to receive excellent care by a skillful and compassionate Dr. Stonecipher and his assistant, Tim Gray. Not only totally capable in his field, he will go the extra mile. He found a mass on my MRI in my kidney while diagnosing my spine problems. He immediately referred me for a CAT scan and to a specialist. Surgery and care at MD Anderson, I am cancer free for 3 yrs now. Now I am back with Dr. Stonecipher controlling my back pain. Dr. Stonecipher is good but having to deal with his rude staff and Tim Gray was enough for me to search for another physician. At times, I felt like I was being herded like cattle!

My husband and I are both disabled but were fortunate to find Dr. Stonecipher after moving to Texas three years ago. He is very skillful and takes pride in his work. He is also extremely compassionate, listens, understands and "feels" your pain. His nurse practitioner, Tim Gray, is also compassionate and very knowledgeable. All of Dr. Stonecipher's staff is understanding and kind, and will go out of their way to take care of your needs. Kodos to Dr. Stonecipher and all his staff!

Impressive knowledge of spine and causes of pain; very sensitive to patient report of pain; excellent communication during treatment about what he is doing and what you can expect. Staff is sensitive and caring, as well as responsive. His nurse practitioner is also terrific. I rates ease in getting an appointment as "good" - since it takes a while to get an appointment - but that probably is a reflection of two things that make Dr. Stonecipher excellent overall - he is in high demand and his staff is careful to schedule appointments so there is very little wait time when you show up for an appointment. I would strongly recommend him to family members and friends.
