I was Dr. Pettinga's first patient when she arrived in Grand Rapids and have always felt a special bond because of that. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 34, I was a single mom and scared. When I met Dr. P, my fear lessened. She seemed so in tuned with my diagnosis, prognosis and the procedure she and my plastic surgeon were going to perform. I belived in her then and believe in her now. She has a great bedside manner, she is a very caring person and doctor. She loves her patients and I belive truly wishes for their best.
