Dr. Jason Charles Joice, MD

Dr. Joice gave me a shot to relieve knee pain. It worked better than I had hoped. Six months later I felt I needed to repeat the process and the doctor agreed. I was out of the office in minutes and the pain is under control. I appreciate the prompt response from the doctor and his staff.

His staff is great and Dr. Joice did a fantastic job on my knee replacement.

I was referred to Dr Joice by my PCP for pain in my hip. Dr Joice looked at my x-rays prior to coming into the exam room and explained my x-rays look good. After examining my hip, he explained he wanted to take the simplest option for now and give me a shot in my hip (which is exactly what I expected and wanted). I agreed. Within minutes I signed the concent, got the shot and was checked out! Dr Joice was very nice and thorough, but quick. To be honest, after reading some of the bad reviews I was a little concerned about seeing him. I had absolutely nothing but good experience with my appointment with Dr Joice. I just wonder if some take his “get ‘er done” approach as rudeness?? He doesn’t linger long, but answers questions if asked! Oh….take a sweater if you’re cold blooded…..the waiting room is freezing! ??

I wouldn't choose any other orthopedic surgeon for my care. He's the best and has awesome office staff members too.

Had carpet tunnel release on both hands 15 days apart back to work in 4 to 6 weeks years later still doing good and the pain was up both arms all the way to shoulders

I broke my ankle. I told him my foot was hurting too. He kind of ignored me and have me come back in two weeks. I complained again about my foot. At four weeks he finally took X-rays of my foot. He said it had a broken bone and sent me for a C scan. At 5 weeks I went in to find the results of the C scan. I had four broken bones in my foot. He said he couldn’t do anything for me because he doesn’t operate on feet. He wanted to send me to a foot specialist at six weeks. Why didn’t he tell me this in the beginning?

Dr Joice is a very rude man only focused on who he can cut on next. I went in for a follow-up to a test I had done that another surgeon ordered. The other surgeon was gone. I got the impression Dr Joice felt stuck with the patients of the other. The test showed I had another unrelated issue to what I went in for. Dr Joice diagnosed me with frozen shoulder, which I did NOT have. He said he would unfreeze it when he did surgery for the other issue. I said no. He ordered more PT for me. At checkout the clerk asked when he wanted to see me again. I told her he didn't say. He was standing close enough for her to ask. His reply, " I'm not doing surgery on her. I don't ever need to see her again." I've never had a doctor not want to follow up with you after PT. Two years later I am still dealing with the pain and looking for another surgeon who specializes in shoulders. Never again will I use a general orthopedic surgeon.

I saw Dr Joice for a follow-up visit after having a rotator cuff and biceps tendon repair surgery performed by another surgeon Dr Joice was filling in for the surgeon who did my surgery. I had been having some numbness and tingling in my fingers and extreme shoulder pain after the surgery, so my surgeon sent me for an emg. It showed I had MODERATE carpal tunnel syndrome, but no nerve damagr causing my shoulder pain. The neurologist who did the test told me this. went my follow up. Dr Joice's MA had me fill out a surgery consent form before he came in the room or even looked at my chart. When Dr Joice came in the exam room he asked "when do you want me to do your carpal tunnel surgery?" I told him that was not what I was there for. I was there because of the excessive pain in my shoulder. After that, he said he would unfreeze my shoulder under anesthesia when he fixed my carpal tunnel. I told him I didn't want another surgery. He told me I had Severe carpal tunnel syndrome that needed to be fixed. This was contradictory to what the neurologist told me. He said Moderate. I again said no. Dr Joice then said he could send me back to PT for frozen shoulder. I opted for that. When I went to check out, the receptionist asked when Dr Joice wanted me to follow-up. I said I didn't know, he didn't say, and I assumed after PT. Dr Joice was standing where she, I, and my husband could see him. She asked him when he wanted me to come back He said, " I don't want to see her again. I'm not doing surgery on her." I was shocked at such a blatantly rude response. I was already had a terrible first impression of him. He acted mad that he was having to fill in for my surgeon and he came a Ross as a surgery happy doctor. Other options were his last resort when surgery should be the last resort with conservative treatment first. I willill never go back to that office. His staff is also very rude . They acted like they didn't like being in a different office too. I saw him in the Claremore Utica Park Clinic Orthopedics office, his primary office is in Pryor.
