Met with me unscheduled at the request of the physician I was seeing. He was on vacation and took time out to see me. Clearly very brilliant but also down to earth and approachable. Truly appreciate his kindness as well as Julie's.

I am very grateful to have Dr. Loeffler as my physician. I have seen him for several years and he has always been gracious to spend time with me to thoroughly explain things and answer all my questions. He is an extremely knowledeable and helpful physician. I highly recommend him.

This doctor is the head of radiation oncology, a much esteemed position. However, I found him to be exceedingly sloppy and unethical. The particle accelerator that runs the proton facility is literally half of a century old, and is *not well-maintained*. To be specific, it repeatedly broke down while cancer patients were in it. None-the-less, this doctor continues to put patients at risk. I am holding my tongue for fear of libel, but I urge you to think very carefully before sending a loved one into the proton center at MGH. There are other institutions in the US with newer equipment.
