Dr. Jeff Wasserman, MD

Haven’t seen this wonderful doctor in years. I’ve been given the appropriate PPO referral to see him. I’m going to have to call several numbers to find him but once you have the very best one gets spoiled. His bedside manner is very intuitive. He listen’s gives you what he believes will help the issue. He’s extremely precise with spinal injections in the outpatient hospital. His trigger point injections in the office are extremely effective. I’m looking forward to seeing Dr. Wasserman soon. He’s the very best!

Dr Wasserman is a wonderful doctor, and his staff is also excellent. He was very thorough in analyzing my problems and prescribing the best plan to deal with my medical issues. I highly recommend him.

I have had several procedures with Dr. Wasserman from Stem Cell,PRP, Steroid infection to medication for pain. He is excellent. He listens and prescribes the best treatment for your body.

Dr. Wasserman had very little to suggest as far as pain management. Terrible bed side manner. He told the patient to accept their condition and that severe pain will be a “way of life”. He also recommended group therapy and psychiatric help. We didn’t go to him for pain medication. We went to him for pain management and got none.

He was great, and his nurses too

His office never answers their phone. The surgical facility at the Carrell Clinic is loud and the staff is curt. His unavailability is alarming.

He needs better etiquette when dealing with his patients. Listen more!

I was searching for Dr. Wasserman's phone # and happened upon this page with the reviews and was surprised to see all the negative posts. Thus, I thought I would write a quick note that my experience with Dr. Wasserman has been completely positive. I started seeing him a little over two years ago due to ongoing pain following back surgery. The first time I met with him, he discussed the different options available with me and then answered all of my questions. Together, we agreed upon a course of action, which included a couple of initial injections at a surgery center. (I chose to forgo any IV sedation due to a horrible fear of IVs, and he was very gentle and kind to me while administering the injections). I was also a bit anxious during one appointment due to an acute sleep issue I was having, and he was again very kind and understanding. And most importantly, the medication options we have chosen allow me optimal relief of my symptoms without being drowsy during the day (important to me because I have to be completely alert at work). I really couldn't be more pleased with my current treatment, the quality of life it gives me, and Dr. Wasserman (and now his PA, Michelle). Finally, his office staff has always been very respectful and nice to me, as well. And while I have occasionally had to wait a bit, it's never that long...and it is a doctor's office, after all. They all have waits sometimes. (And if you are the person who happens to need more time than planned at an appointment, you would appreciate the extra time and hope the next patient who has to wait because of it would be understanding). So, I hope that gives another perspective to those considering Dr. Wasserman. Take care -

My first appointment I arrived early with paperwork in hand. Waited 45 minutes. Dr. came in said he read my diagnosis from my Rheumatologist then he spent half of the visit trash talking another Physician. Basically not listening to anything I had to say or ask. He did all of the talking, especially telling me what he does verses other physicians and how they make mistakes in the same procedures that He does in the Correct manner. ( Very inflated Ego) He gave me a medication to try and scheduled bilateral facet injections that he did not think would help evidently, because he also gave me a brochure on an implanted pain pump on this 1st visit, which was very alarming. After the visit I filled and began the medication he prescribed, after 1 hour I began to have an allergic reaction, so i called his office and spoke to his female assistant whom was Extremely rude and stated Wasserman said to just stop the medication and wait for the injections. The day of the injections I spoke to him about the problem and inquired about another medication and he talked to me as if I were less than a human being with an extremely hateful tone, which was very degrading, saying there is no medication that will help you!! Then stated let's see how these injections do $$. So I allowed him to do the injections, by this time very upset and fearful. He only used numbing medication that wears off as if you had gone to the Dentist. The staff at the surgical facility kept apologizing for his hatefulness,as they had heard how he had spoken to me, they stated they had seen it before, not only in him but could hardly stand to work with his rude medical assistant that accompanies him as well. By the time I left I was in tears. The surgical facility was very kind and apologetic for his behavior, as they had seen it before, stated by one nurse. Basically if you don't ask questions, call his office for anything or throw any ideas his way that might have helped you in the past, you would be a good person to be treated by Dr Wasserman and his Extremely rude staff. He is definitely a very non compassionate, arrogant bully in our medical system. Very Rude and unprofessional. Sad when even his coworkers at a surgical facility dread him and his medical assistant coming in. A good friend's husband that I recently spoke to just had a similar bad experience with this office. We pay thousands of dollars to these so called well trained Physicians, you would think they would train or teach them listening skills along with compassion. It Is Possible to convey to your patient in a Kind way, what you feel is in their best interest. I have never been talked to by anyone in the manner in which he spoke to me, nor will I ever again. Myself, my family, and friends will Never darken the door step of this practice again. Don't always be fooled by the credentials and fancy write ups in D Magazine. I pray no one else gets treated as if they were less than a person by this Dr and his staff.

Dr really played up how having a pain medication pump inserted was going to be the answer to my problem. Even gave me the literature from Medtronic to go over. After installation I saw that it wasn't the answer. It did do some of what was advertised but I wasn't back to being almost normal and having a life. When confronted on this, the Dr said he never promised that it would. The literature from Medtronic did and the Dr implyed it would. Also, after the pump was in, the Dr and staff seemed to treat me as a lessor patient.

When attempted to discuss wait of 2 hours, Dr. Wesserman responded by stating "you can go somewhere else".

This doctor has no empathy at all. Office visit was EXTREMELY expensive with no notice and no help from the staff
