Dr. Jeremy Eduard Baptist, MD

I've debated on writing this review for a few years now but I think its time. I saw Dr. Baptist when I was young, probably around 2005-2008. I had severe GI issues and anxiety, for reference. Dr. Baptist subjected me to extensive allergy testing, after which he concluded that I was allergic to 35 different foods. The list was significant- gluten, yeast, corn, rice, eggs, milk, grapes, blueberries, tomatoes... I literally ate nothing except foods made with crazy kinds of alternative flour for years. There was no way I got enough nutrients. When my friends around me were eating good and normal food, I watched them as I ate whatever I could that wasn't on the list. I vividly remember my friend's birthday parties or sleepovers where I couldn't have anything. I didn't gain any weight during prime years of development, and I was skin and bones. I also was taking 16 supplements at a time, which is incredibly expensive. I can't imagine what my parents spent to see this man. After a few years of doing this, my parents got a second opinion where we discovered that I probably wasn't allergic to anything, and one by one, I reintroduced those foods back into my life with no side effects. The REAL allergist we got a second opinion from said that this was not the first case he had seen from Dr. Baptist where he told patients that they were allergic to a long list of foods. I still didn't gain weight for years and when I finally did, it caused me to experience intense body image issues. In the years following my experience, I also developed binge eating tendencies because of how long I spent not eating nutritious food as a child. Please, seek a second opinion if you have chosen to see Dr. Baptist. I'm sure he does some good for many people, but be careful.

We took our son with autism to this doctor. He did tests and had us place our son on a strict diet with vitamins and supplements and allergy shots. We did the best we could with the diet and supplements for years and my son was very improved. Better eye contact, sleep and school performance. Overall improvement. We had a setback and stopped the diet and most of the supplements for about 3 years and have seen the difficulties return more and more the longer he's been off them. Dr. Baptist is a bit unconventional but he cares, knows his stuff, and for us his instructions produced excellent results. Without everything we learned from Dr. Baptist I feel our son would be doing far worse. Baptist's treatment really impacted our understanding of how to help our child and set us on an effective track.

Dr. Baptist absolutely changed the health of my family--we started seeing him in 2007 with a "sensory kid," and since, our understanding of our individual biological needs has lead us to healthier, more functional lives! Dr. Baptist expects a lot from his patients by means of learning and understanding their biological needs and functions. It can be daunting to be presented with so much information, but he has always provided us with educational materials, sources, and TIME to answer questions. The testing he does to determine allergies, organic acids, neurotransmitter function, etc., have been instrumental in increasing our understanding of our bodies' function. We owe so much to Dr. Baptist for healing our kid, and then helping us maximize our own health. What an amazing doctor!

Dr Baptist is not Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology!

After 30 years including 10 years of suffering, Dr. Baptist got me off of Abilify, Paxil and Ambien and safely onto 5HTP, Acetyl L-Carnitine and L-Carnitine which seem to be doing the job, along with a lot of vitamins and strict dietary restrictions according to my blood type allergies. This is a break though for me.

After 9+ years and 5 allergists, I foy d Dr. Jeremy Baptist. He tested me for 96 different "things".. plus took MANY vials of blood for additiinal testing. It was discovered that I am allergic to a great many foods. Being off those has totally eliminated stuffiness. Plus I now sleep 7 to 10 hours vs the 3 to 5 I slept for 9 years. I am on NO MEDS, i.e., Sudafed, Claratin D, sleeping pills, etc. I AM THRILLED !!! He is a great dr. for me!!!!

Very odd behavior coming from this doctor. Did procedures without consulting me as the parent first which did not set well. At times very unprofessional behavior

Love everything about Dr. Baptist except I can't keep the diet. It's too rigid I'm always going to fail in some point. Not sure if were together on the real goal. Gives miraculous answers to all health problems that show up. (I'm not sure if I want to get off psychiatric medication right now)

If you have thousands of dollars to spend on unproven tests not covered by insurance, then this is your guy. If not, I'd advise staying away. Office is dirty and reeks of mold. The Dr is old-school and gets insulted if you ask questions. He will pressure you to get allergy shots even when you don't suffer from environmental allergy systems. I learned my lesson the hard way, but I can at least warn others!

After being tested by doctors in various specialties; i.e., dermatology, infectious disease, internal medicine, I found Dr. Baptist. He tested for my allergies, and within three days I started the diet restrictions, my life changed. I now feel better than I did 30 years ago. Physically, my symptoms are 98% gone, and I am only 19 days into my treatment. I don't ache with stiffness in my joints anymore. I had several other problems physically that have vanished. What more can I ask?

If you have had enough of doctors giving you the run around, sending you home saying you are fine when you know you are not; if you have a medically fragile child and doctors don't want to get to the bottom of the issues and solve them, than this is your doctor. I have a medically fragile child who was ill, but no doctor would figure out what was wrong. They would check his ears, see no infection, and say he's fine, and send us home. But, my child has been sick for FOUR years, until now. Dr. Baptist is thorough, leaves no stone uncovered, and explores every option. Thankfully he has 32 years of experience behind him, which is rare to find these days. Our problems were not unknown to him, he knew which tests to run, how to interpret results he and knows HOW TO FIX the root problem. Dr. Baptist is in no hurry, he will take the time to do things accurately the first time and will take the time necessary to explain them to you. My son, for the first time, in FOUR years, is happy. I have a little boy who wants to play now instead of only cry and be held. This has been an exhausting journey filled with MD's who are clueless, arrogant, and unwilling to listen or do research to help. Dr. Baptist is everything they are not and more. If you are a doctor reading this I pray you would take a lesson!! It makes me so sad to see anything other than a 4 star rating for this doctor who truly cares and is not going to give you 'band-aids' for your problem, but is going to actually HELP. There was a lot of tests, but other doctors weren't willing to run these kinds of tests to help us. That was part of the problem. My only fear regarding Dr. Baptist would be his retiring. My son was diagnosed with Autism by a well known neurologist in St. Louis, MO who said come back and see me when you need Risperdal. Thankfully someone recommended Dr. Baptist. When I first met him I thought his "bedside manner" seemed lacking. What I've really come to learn is maybe we are use to the wrong kind of doctors. Dr. Baptist is very thorough and if you take the time to listen first, most of the questions you might have had will be answered before he is done covering test results. The supplement and diet routine he presented to me was overwhelming as a single mom but the results I have seen in my son are all I need to show me that Dr. Baptist is not a "quack" as some have so rudely resorted to calling him. He has served us for five years and to this day, if I am slacking on a supplement or not following something to the recommended routine, it will show up through testing (Blood testing is done through Children's hospital in St. Louis, MO). MANY doctors tested my son during a drawn out court battle seeking a reason/solution for my sons never ending bowel issues with no success. Dr. Baptist recommended a product that cleared it up in two weeks. During that court battle with an ex, I also visited an allergist who had been appointed to the Missouri Blue Ribbon Panel on Autism. She agreed with Dr. Baptist's protocol and continued medical care in the same manner until we were able to return to Dr. Baptist's care. If you want a doctor who pushes psychotic medications on you for you to experiment with at home, this is not the doctor for you.

This is not a good doctor. Be ware.

Dr.Baptist is no fool...which is what I like most about him. He knows a lot and my son has benefitted a great deal from the advice and treatment received at AllergyLink. The doctor doesn't prescribe loads of prescription drugs and he is pretty low key. If you like those "God complex" ADD, go go go docs that act really superior, go somewhere else. This doctor takes time to deal with complex issues in his patients thoughtfully and he answers questions sincerely. I haven't seen that often enough in doctors for my kids, but I see it in Dr. Baptist and it means a lot. He is sharp and he's not like everyone else. He's made a big difference in my son's life and as a result, helped the whole family.

Dr. Baptist is the kindest man on Earth. He patiently worked with two of our children who suffered the symptoms of autism, and the results have changed our lives. My husband and I are no longer fearful of attending public functions. Our children are focused and maturing beautifully--more so than other doctors told us they could do. We feel blessed that Dr. Baptist came into our lives.

$400 plus later, I came to the realization this man may be a quack. According to him, I was allergic to everything under the sun. He wanted me to get weekly shots for two years. And if I missed a couple, I'd have to start over. I asked his asst. if they ever had anyone NOT highly allergic. Her answer was no; people had been to so many doctors prior that EVERYONE stopped there. Really? EVERYONE???

DO YOUR RESEARCH! Dr. Baptist uses tests that are reliable. We know of three different people that went to Dr. Baptist and all three were told to eliminate 95+ or more of their diet (My son was given this diagnosis. He is a fit, active and generally healthy kid. However he does have moderate asthma and eczema, which is why we decided to go to Dr. Baptist in the first place. Our son does not have symptoms when he eats these foods. Dr. Baptist told us our child has a thyroid disease that only an endocrinologist is qualified to diagnose. In fact, it is a disease that supposedly takes months to diagnose. Dr. Baptist is not a board certified allergist. We were given a diet to follow that was beyond impractical. Even if our child would have eaten the few things he was allow to eat, we would have gone broke trying to make it work. If you go to him, there will be red flags all over the place: dont ignore them. PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION! Dr. Baptist is a quack that motivates by fear.

Dr. Baptist office has overcharged us repeatedly. Dr. Baptist want lab work done every 3 months??? When we questioned this we got a run-around answer. We have had to wait up to an hr to see the Dr. When we do see his he spends no time assessing our child. He has never done a full assessment. He relies on lab work.

Dr. Baptist found the cause of our child's health problems. He didn't just try to slap a pharmaceutical bandage over a symptom. The difference in our child's health is a complete 180. The tests he ordered helped him determine a course of action. How refreshing to understand what we are treating and why! Rather than the 'try this drug and see what happens' method of treatment I encountered at another allergist. My little boy is now happier and healthier because of Dr. Baptist's care.

Forces patients and family to more than needed testing. Insisted on skin testing when blood-work is more accurate. Told us to put our dog down based on skin testing. When bloodwork was done my child had no allergies to dogs. Will not review lab work without patient present. forces you to attend numerous visits and says very little. Does not even do a real exam on patient. Has never done a full skin check or exam my child's hair. We have waited up to 30 minutes once in the back room. Nurse turn-over is often. My child had allergy shots by the office manager for 2 weeks because they had no nurse.
