She's the worst doctor, I can't believe she is still in business.

My husband and I were patients for eight years. Never felt totally comfortable with her, we always question why we stayed. Prescriptions were often written wrong and at times her bedside manner was questionable. No longer see her. Something just seemed off.

Dr. Duffy has been my PCP for less than 1 month at Comm. Med. Ctr. on Haverhill St. in Andover MA, and I refuse to go back. Dr. Duffy insisted I come in for an appointment despite me having an appointment with a specialist the following week; that was scheduled to do the same exact invasive procedure that she wanted to do today. Dr. Duffy tried bullying and then shaming me. She gave me no other options or medical advise besides "this appointment will be noted as a cancellation". As I left the consult room she slammed the door similar to child having a temper tantrum. BUYER BEWARE for those so called medical professionals that do not respect their patient's concerns and lack professionalism when they do not get their way.

I was a patient here for well over two years. At first it wasn’t but it got worse fast. She switched over medication for me and then when I asked to go back to the original, there was no record of them switching it in the first place. I had to go in multiple times to fill out paperwork that was for college that they ”forgot” to do at my physical and was charged to full out forms that I coils have done over the phone. When I finally got the sense to switch I saw how much they messed up my records. They wrote down that I had received 12 immunizations in one day and my new doctor was having trouble interpreting it. She didn't care about the symptoms that I was coming in with and when she did she had to pull out a book to look for what she needed. Staff was also very rude and seemed inconvenienced that I was there.

I was concerned when I learned she attended medical school in a foreign country, one where she did not speak the language. Clearly she has not learned much. She ordered a test for me; the office tech came back to ask if she wanted the MRI or the CAT scan, as she did not mark which. Dr Duffy asked, "What's the difference?" The tech just stood looking at her, because of course this is all happening right in front of the patient. Good for that Tech! So Dr. explained what was going on, and the tech replied, "you want an MRI, not a CTScan; I will set that up." She routinely refers you out to specialists as she does not know how to deal with anything herself; and twice now, she has sent me to the WRONG specialist, so I had to return for yet another appt with her to get a referral to the proper one. The office is understaffed, so good luck getting anything without having an actual appointment. Dr insists she knows how to use their computer system, to send scripts, set up mail order scripts, but she does not. Fortunately the office staff does know how to set things up; but trying to get them by phone is difficult as they are understaffed. I am stuck as Dr Duffy is one of the few female PCPs in the area who accepts my ins. But at least now I know, I have to be very proactive about my care, she is not able to handle it for me.

I have been seeing Dr. Duffy for over 15 years and she is a great doctor. She takes her time to listen to my concerns and will even refer you for a consultation to specialists when you want to ensure all is well. She makes sure you are OK and has even contacted me herself to check on me. I love my PCP!

Hello, The problem I have with this office is when I encountered problem with my prescription medicine at local CVS and was told to contact the doctor office to discuss with nurse assistance or anyone who is available. When called in, I ended up with voice massage service, I left my massage and it has been 2 days since and I have not been contacted yet. Then I called receptionist and explained to her that I really need to talk to anyone who can help me with my prescription and I have already left my massage and have not heard from the nurse yet, and guess what? The receptionist transferred my call to voice massage, again. I am very frustrated that I need my prescription and can't get any help. Bottom line if you need to talk to anyone at the office or any help(except the receptionist) then good luck to you. I do not recommended Good luck to all.

I went to her for a pain in my side. She told me it was my gallbladder. Perhaps if she had taken a moment to glance at my file she would have seen it was removed years earlier. She started discussing a patient (name and procedures she wanted ordered) to her nurse during my physical. The nurse had to cut her off and say they would discuss it later. Very rude and very unprofessional. I have moved onto another doctor and am very happy now. She should not be a doctor.. poor bedside manner and does not listen or read your records before she sees you.

I would never reccomend Dr. Duffy to anyone. I didn't like her from the beginning as she seemed unprofessional and rude but after a couple visits I decided I would never go back. She doesn't listen at all to what you are saying. I was sick for over 5 months and she told me it was because I needed to gain weight when I am not underweight I am an average weight for my height so that made me extremely mad knowing that clearly wasn't the problem. I told her about my multiple symptoms and it seemed like she didn't even listen. Prescribes antibiotics even though I took some a couple weeks before and it did nothing which I told her. Also sent me for a chest x Ray which I also got a couple weeks prior. She is a terrible Doctor. After being sick for so long and having your doctor not help you is so frustrating I left her office crying. Would absolutely not reccomend. Really wish I could give her no stars.

I posted a positive review about Duffy but I was fortunate to have never had a serious health issue; I saw her for routine physicals and minor illnesses, such as colds, ear infections, etc. Then I had a problem and went immediately to a specialist. That doctor told me that the daily med Duffy put me on was twice the dose I should be taking. I was sent back to Duffy (because insurance requires tests be scheduled by primary care) in order to have tests scheduled. That didn't go well. I waited a week to hear from her office about an appointment for a test. I called after several days and they told me they were waiting to hear from the hospital. They blamed the hospital, saying they were waiting for approval from my insurance company. I had already talked with my insurance company and knew there was no authorization needed for this particular test. Called the insurance company and found out the request had just been received one day earlier. Called Duffy's office and they confessed that they never transmitted the order to the hospital. What?!?!? How does that happen? No checks or follow-ups in place to make sure someone with a potentially serious problem gets the care they need ASAP? Then I found out that the test she ordered was far more complicated than what the specialist wanted done. She of course ordered a much more expensive test. And, she told me to have an xray done and take motrin to treat pain in my side, which was accompanied by rectal bleeding. The specialist was very clear in emphasizing that I shouldn't take motrin because of the bleeding. I have no confidence in Duffy's ability to properly diagnose and/or treat anything. I have moved on and will never recommend her. I posted a positive review a few years ago and wish I could remove it from this site. Since that doesn't seem possible, I am posting this one to offset it and set the record straight.

She is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. She is so rude. She doesn't listen to what you are trying to say. She just says what she has to say. And the bill you get from her is very unreasonable. I would never ever go to her.

I don't believe I was charged a co-pay for this visit....this woman said I was fine no need for tests etc...Most office staff rude..and if not extremely incompetent Very difficult to discern if the English speaking staff including the office Manager even understand the language....Chose the "physician" as I had a great experience at the ER of Holy Family Hospital.....would still use the ER but after almost collapsing in the outer office am very lucky The Office Manager and another staffer at the Mg's encouragement helped me to my car. The Doctor could have been called.............Don't take a chance!! This office called me repeatedly to schedule a follow up!! "Doc" Duffy disappeared without explanation at least once during my :exam"

Dr. Duffy seemed to be looking for a kick back. I went to her for the first time recovering from minor medical issues and she started pushing major elective surgeries. She also constantly interrupted me and dismissed my input.

I initially chose Dr Duffy because of her affiliation with Holy Family. I've been a patient for nearly 5 years and have nothing but praise for her. She either takes very good notes or has a great memory, but in either case, I appreiate her ability to recall prior conversations or discussions from previous visits. This goes a long way to making me feel like a person, a whole person, and not just a patient in need of a diagnosis. She's got a down-to-earth, common sense approach to treating people. This, in combintaion with her professionalism, makes her very approachable and goes a long way toward putting me at ease. I have no complaints and feel as though I've received excellent care from Dr Duffy.

worst bedside manner of any doctor ive ever seen. worst part is she will make me wait over 30 minutes in a gown, spend 15 minutes with me, and then tell me she needs to see me again in 4 to 6 weeks for a follow up. She has seen me 4 times in 6 months, just trying to get my money. i am definitely changing doctors. she has misdiagnosed 3 different problems, invited people into the room with me during a pap, and even forgot to call in prescriptions. i would never recommend her to anyone and think she should lose her license.

I've been seeing doctor Duffy for two years now and I love her. She is so easy to talk to and always has the answers imlooking for. Even if I have a questio when I'm home I call the office and she calls me back!! That is very rare! I would recommend her over and over.

Terrible bedside manner, can't remember anything and is inaccurate on diagnosis. Forgets to call in prescriptions. Office staff is extremely rude and incompetent.
