Dr. Joel Lawrence Fine, MD

Dismissive, Condescending, Rude are the first things that come to mind. I saw him today because he is temporary after my doctor retired but now I wished I had checked the reviews about him before I went. I would have cancelled my appointment. An hour waiting for him to come in and I get talked down to, belittled and felt far worse emotionally than I did physically when I left that office. I don't know if he treats all women this way because the whole visit was horrible - Never ever have I had a doctor treat me this way - I actually walked out.

After waiting 1.5 hours, I left knowing I would never be back. He jokingly made derogatory, sexist comments to me about not having a brain. He told me running at 40 “is bad” for me. He mocked my desire to have a colonoscopy and sleep study done at my age. I was there for an annual physical and he told me “don’t get fat.” I am very covid-conscious and fully vaccinated and he spoke to me like I’m dumb. No thanks.

He was in too much of a hurry to go home. He took my history for paperwork, and that was that. Made some offhand comments too. It was a waste of time.

I went to see this terrible doctor in Franklin, TN for help with a condition I have that is worsening. My arms specifically have large growths under the skin that concern me. I also needed referrals to another doctor that I KNOW helps diagnose this disease. To begin, he did not knoe what this disease was. I had printed out a page with quick information to help educate him, and he refused to take it, and said the disease sounds made up. He then told me I probably have horrible cholesterol because I choose to eat a healthy low carb diet. He assumed I eat nothing but bacon and told me to stop eating low carb and to eat healthy. I have lymphedema and low carb is ESSENTIAL for me. He is so uneducated and misinformed, it's scary to know that he is a practicing physician working with people. He never once looked at my arms. He told me I probably just have fibromyalgia and there was a certain pain clinic I could go to. He then got up walked out, and told me the exit to the lobby was to the right. It has been a very long time since I have been treated so dismissively, and like I mean absolutely nothing, by a doctor. But he made me feel that and more. I will never go back to him, and I suggest no one else go either. Even his nurse was horrible!!!

Dr. Fine is more than doctor he is your best friend he is your brother and father and tells you when you're wrong because he cares about your health he is a person there for me touches my heart he helped me a lot with my sickness which is diabetes I remember one time did I win call I'll come back in for a while he told me he was worried sick about me that he couldn't even sleep right so he is an angel and he is here to help us get better with our health me and my family want to thank you very much doctor Joel l fine thank you my friend God bless

Best doctor in Snellville, GA. Dr. Fine was my doctor for over 10yrs. Always kind, very thorough, and detailed exams. He gave it to you straight (no chaser), the good, bad, and in between. I liked the truth and hard facts, and that's what he dealt. Above all, he really cared about his patients. Miss you Doc, and that dry sense of humor! Nashville... you got a good one. -- Mark P.

absolute worst doctor in u.s.a.

Paid for PPO insurance and Dr. Fine knew my name and chatted with me about my issues and also asked about family. New practice I am back to being a number. Doctor not warm and acted like I was a so call " trade charge visit " . Wish my insurance plan had a doctor rating where could discuss issues like feeling like money I am spending I did not get the service thought would. Guess this coming year get cheap plan as if treated cheaply why not buy cheap plan.

Only go to Dr Fine if you want a doctor that will give you a thorough checkup and will be honest with you. Funny but to the point and tells you like it is. I am very sad to see him leave Snellville, as it will be most difficult to find a new doctor to replace him. Also, he had a great staff in Snellville!

Last office I was a number. I have insurance where I pay more as company offers 4 plan levels. I expect service just like I do when I eat out at a good eatery. Last office did not give the service I expected for the costs but did try to sell me vitamens an all. Dr. Fine gets me in on time. Deals with my medical issues and best of all I get calls back from his staff or even him. I feel like I am getting my monies worth. I think he is at times funny but at times very serious .

I've been seeing Dr Fine for almost 4 years now. He has always been so wonderful to me. He's always been funny and kind and so helpful. I see 6 different doctors regularly because i have two chronic illnesses, so i've been to many many different doctors before i found all of my current doctors. I've never trusted another doctor and had such a wonderful patient doctor relationship as i've had with him. He's always gone above and beyond to make sure that i'm okay and that i'm being taken care of. His staff is like family, and i'm so glad that i found him. I truly hope he never retires because i have no idea where i'd be or what i'd do without him.

I read prior reports. If you are looking for provider that agree's HMO the best or you want medications not needed this is not your doctor. He can be straight forward as he is with me but not disrespectful . He is well respected. People complain so be it but when you leave bet your next doctor may not be as good. I am not a family friend nor go to his church if that matters. I like his great care.

Never have I met such an arrogant and rude doctor in my life. The worst bed side manner. The doctor complained about the type of insurance I have and suggested that I find a new doctor. He wouldn't answer any of my question stating that I don't have time to answer your questions when you pay only a dollar co payment. This unacceptable and will be reporting to the board of ethics and BBB. No doctor should be denying a patient service due to the opinions that a doctor have towards a certain type of insurance that he accepts at his office. Stay away from this doctor!!!!!!!!! ARROGANCE doesnt even begin to describe this doctor. Unfortunately I shouldve read the previous reviews to avoid this but here we are.

Although Dr. Fine is very intelligent, I was appalled at his comments regarding specialists that I work with who are excellent, professional, and compassionate. His comments indicated to me that he questioned the competence of my specialists and he made it clear that he was only interested in having me as a patient if I was part of his VIP program. He asked me questions concerning my medical condition and never allowed me to complete a sentence in response. He seems very angry about the state of healthcare today and it is unfortunate that it impacts his care of his patients.

Recently in office. On blood pressure and cholesterol medications. I have followed instructions to limit my salt and not eat fatty foods. Dr. Fine tells it the way it is. If you do not feel changes needed not worth doing he may be disappointed. This is not a VA clinic type setting and I have taken family to VA clinics and they need to change. I like this office. May not be for everyone.

DON'T go see this doctor...He is arrogant, rude , has a Napoleon complex. Went there for a physical and he said we don't do them. Just treated me like I was a waste of his time...said go get another doctor!!!

This Doctor has the ABSOLUTE WORST BEDSIDE MANNER and attitude of ANY doctor I have EVER met. I was a Pharmacuetical rep for 15 years and met only a handful of rude doctors like him. But Never to patients!!! He was arrogant, continued to tell me how I Felt. Challenged me on every word and told me, he was not going to address a health issue that I might want to find another doctor (which I decided to do the minute he walked in) he is a horrible doctor although he is a little man who thinks he is big on knowledge. He is in kindergarten when it comes to having compassion and understanding. I would not send my worst enemy to this man.

This doctor has the worse bedside manner. Also when I, the daughter questioned about a bill that had a procedure that was not done on my father, he instructed me to find new doctors for both of my parents.
