Dr. John Anthony Alton, MD

Dr. Alton has been my OB for the past 5 years. He has always had the best bedside manner and has always answered all of my questions very thoroughly! He has cared for me in my 3 pregnancies so far and am looking forward to future care. I cannot recommend him enough! Im so grateful to have found someone that makes me feel so comfortable!

I saw Dr. Alton for a robotic hysterectomy. He got me in right away for a consultation and took time to get to know me as well as discuss the procedure and recovery. He is very easy to talk to and an excellent surgeon. He is very skilled at making his patients feel at ease and know that they are being well cared for. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Alton was my women’s health doctor prior to needing OB care and he has been an asset to my health in both scenarios. His patients truly are his top priority and cares about you like you’re his only one. Despite his busy schedule, he takes his time during appointments to hear all concerns and ensure your mind is at ease - especially for a first time mom this was incredibly reassuring. He’s knowledgeable, kind, and always has your best interest at heart.

Dr. Alton was wonderful in helping to figure out the issue I was having and helping me navigate through the surgery that I ultimately had to have. He has been my doctor for over 20 years which included both of my pregnancies and deliveries. He has always been personable, kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an ob/gyn.

I have been to four or five different OBs in the past few years. Doctor Alton is literally on a different level of amazing that I couldn't even compare him to anyone else. I have higher anxiety when it comes to test results and everything health in general. This doctor explained everything to me in terms I could understand, he took over an hour with me talking about my health history and plans for the future, and he also has a great sense of humor and made me laugh. I could tell he truly cared, I did not feel rushed, and I felt heard. Every woman needs to go to this doctor if you have not found your perfect one. Wanted to cry when I left because everything was explained so clearly to me. Thank you to the whole team he has with him!!=))

Dr Alton is truly the best! I have been going to him for years now and he has always been patient, kind, and trustworthy! He has always took the time to listen to my concerns. Any procedure/ surgery I have had, went so smoothly and I was prepared beginning to end! Cosmetically he is the best too! Great doctor and person!

Dr. Alton has been my doctor for the past 17 years. I have recently had surgery and Dr. Alton and his staff were very patient in answering my questions, sent follow up emails in order for me to ask further questions and explained/coordinated everything for the day of my surgery. At a time when anxiety is high, I was comforted to know that Dr. Alton and his staff were taking care of me.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Alton. For a few years. He always provides excellent care. Appts. Are always on time staff is always friendly and courteous. Dr. Alton always addresses any questions or concerns he explains everything in great detail to be sure you understand. He takes the time to listen and address questions or concerns. Has great bedside manner made sure that I understood everything during my labor and delivery made it a great experience for me.

After years of issues, Dr. Alton helped me to make the decision to go forward with a Hysterectomy. I was nervous about the surgery, and I asked many MANY questions. He took the time to answer every question, and let me take the time to understand before scheduling the surgery. I'm a little over a week post surgery and feeling great. Everyone that cared for me the day of surgery was amazing. I am very appreciative of Dr. Alton and the team at SWGH.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Alton – Dr. Alton is an incredibly gifted OBGYN and talented surgeon. Dr Alton has been my OBGYN for over 10 years and I have also recently seen him for a surgical procedure. Surgery, as well as any gynecological visit, can be an intimidating and extremely personal event to go through. I felt safe and secure through the entire process. Dr. Alton has a very patient and calming communication style and he also has a unique gift to listen and communicate in a clear and understanding way. He was very compassionate and followed up with me personally throughout the process.
