Dr. Jean Mebadda Assi, MD

This office is not prepared for kids. You can smell bad things there. His service is terrible with long waits. His nurse is too concerned with personal affairs. He's not friendly. He interferes with family life. I would not recommend this doctor's office to anyone.

Dr Assi was all 3 of my children doctor for their entire childhood. We love him. He is a great doctor

Over the past few months, I have needed to make my son a doctor's appointment for various things. EVERY TIME I have called to make an appointment (Emerson location), I have reached the answering machine even during so called "business hours." I have spoken with operators, and each time have been given some lame reason as to why their phones aren't turned on yet and have been asked to call back. EVERY TIME I call back, I have reached the answering machine again. I have left multiple messages with the emergency line and operators and have received ZERO calls back. I don't even know if I like this doctor because I can't even GET AN APPOINTMENT!! SO unprofessional. I would be FIRED if I left my phones off all day at work. Dr. John Assi's staff should be too because they are preventing Dr. Assi's patients from seeing their doctor! I will be finding a new doctor. I DO NOT recommend this doctor. Good luck getting any one to schedule your child an appointment.

Take. Them to long to call in prescription to pharmacy and god know s that's a shame

Love this office! Fabulous people and care.

Docteur Assi loves children and take good care of them. He is the pediatrician to my daughters and I will not go somewhere else. He is really sweet and professional and he dedicates his love by helping our children. I recommend this doctor if you live in San Marco Area, Hendricks Avenue and Lakewood.

Children have gone to see him for 16 years ... about to get a Reg doc for them but will miss the people here!

I waited four hours

Dr Assi took care of me and my sisters and brother for several years until we became adults. My sister takes her kids there now. No complaints on my end hes the best!!!

I went to his office on emerson. the office looks like it is in a shack. The waiting room is small and packed full of sick children. When I took my newborn in to see the Dr. (Dr. Assi wasn't there) even the blinds were broken so I had to feed him next to an open window. If it was a vet, I wouldn't take a stray dog there.

I always see different doctors and now they closed the gateway office and when i called yesterday b/c my son was sick they made me an appt. failing to mention the fact the office I always use is closed.... I called the office at gateway guess they have the phones forwarded there now. I am very displeased with this. My children had been going to this line of doctors for last almost 6 years and then when i moved from the fort caroline area and had to change offices the doctors were not as good... not sure its because they dont care as much in the lower class neighborhood or what but deffinatly saw a major decline in the health care provided. the offices started being only open half a day (without them notifying anyone then either) and now closed without notification to the parents

dr assi eased my mind about my child and really helped me when it felt like no one was listening.

My son is supposed to be seeing Dr. Assi and everytime we go we see a woman doctor...I have never even met Dr. Assi!!! At his 1 month appt I mentioned that my son was leaning to one side....(I found out he has torticollis which he got while in the womb)...and she said lets see if it improves itself by his next visit!! Now he goes to physical therapy once a week because of it...if she had referred us at his one month he could have probably avoided so much physical therapy for so long...I am switching doctors to one that I will actually see! Plus the place is packed with bad kids screaming everywhere and I was left waiting for an hour and a half! Don't go to this doctor!
