Excellent surgeon, flawless recovery.

My mother went in to schedule an appointment to have her hip replaced, something she has been needing, and Dorris had been pushing for a few years now, and at the office, he LITERALLY told her that she needs to lose weight first, and the fact that she is in so much pain and unable to exercise because of her hip, or the fact that she’s diabetic, is no excuse because “you see the photos of prisoners of concentration camps in the holocaust that are thin as rails, and they had even more limited movement than you.” I wish I was joking, but I am not. Those were his ACTUAL WORDS. Not only is that completely irrelevant to my mother’s situation, but it is incredibly rude, and downright sickening that he would even THINK to make such a comparison. This is a man who is supposed to be respected and trusted in his field, and he feels he can just casually throw out such sick and anti-semantic remarks to his patients like that? I wish I could give zero, or negative stars for this interaction alone, but alas…. I can only hope that people start to realise just what an arrogant and callous individual John Dorris is, and refuse to trust him with their loved ones health.

I had Left total knee replacement surgery and have been very pleased with my care by Dr Dorris and his staff. My questions or concerns were addressed promptly. I highly recommend Dr Dorris

Dr Dorris replaced one hip 3 years ago, and, though I now live 3 hours from Athens, I chose to have HIM do my other recently. Why? His skill. His manner. He is no frills, honest, shoots straight and I have profound confidence in him.

Dr. Dorris did my first hip replacement, in 2019. It was a seamless experience, with excellent results. Now it’s late 2021, and I’m facing my other hip replacement. I now live 2 1/2 hours from Athens, but will have him do it for me, with no other thought of finding another surgeon. 100% confidence. 100% success. PS… I’m a retired RN, so, I know a great surgeon when I see one. Grateful

Dr. John Dorris re did my knee surgery in no problem he did so much better then my old surgeon I am walking so much better and I am know going back to work!! I highly recommend dr. John Dorris to anyone who has knee problems!

At the age of 48 I never thought I would have to have a full hip replacement. Dr Dorris and his staff were a pleasure to deal with from my first appointment until my last appointment nothing but professional. He asked me at my 6 week follow up how my pain was and I told him I had less pain than I did when I had a hysterectomy just 6 months prior. I know if I need anything else done Dr Dorris will be my first choice! ??

During pre op consultation with me this surgeon tried to sell my accompanying son a shoulder procedure. Awkward. Unprofessional
