Dr. John Henry Ellis, MD

New patient of Dr Ellis. He was recommended by 15 of my friends who all see him. Sat down with me for 45 minutes. Wait to see him but worth it. Everyone says their office is busy. Did a stress test and then heart cath. Stented my left artery. I feel so much better. Thank you Dr Ellis. Recommend to anyone in or outside the area

Dr. Ellis runs around his office like a never ending battery. There is some wait 15-20 minutes but his care and knowledge is exceptional. He treats you like family. I love Dr. Ellis and his partners. So does my father who’s still living because Ellis put a stent (I think that’s what they’re called) in my dads heart. Highly recommend in NEPA or anywhere for that matter.

I've been going to Dr. Ellis for years, he's a great heart doctor and very personable. I was having dizziness on a medication he started me on. he asked how I felt about starting a different one to take away the dizziness. dizziness was gone in a week because he wanted to do what I wanted and what was best for me! I now am on Entresto and I love it.

I woke up Thanksgiving morning feeling not myself. I started to throw up and then had chest pain. I felt better but then I started to have chest pain and it hurt to breathe. I called the ambulance and Dr. Ellis said I had a heart attack. He put a stent in my left artery that was blocked. Thank you Dr Ellis for saving my life. All my family came to see that night in the hospital.

I was having chest pain and short of breath when I went to the gym so I went to General Hospital's ER. I didn't have a heart doctor but Dr. Ellis came to see me because he was on call ? He ran some tests and eventually I needed a heart cathetherization. Dr. Ellis placed 2 stents in my heart and his bedside manner is above and beyond. He is now my heart doctor and he has saved my life. Thank you Dr. Ellis

I have been having chest pain for the past 2 weeks. someone recommended Dr. Ellis, I went to see him quickly due to the shortness of breath I was having as well. He did a cath on me and found out I had a blocked artery. Dr. Ellis that same day fixed my artery and saved my life. Great doctor and very kind with good bedside manner. I recommend him to anyone.

I highly recommend Dr. Ellis to anyone who needs a heart doctor. His partner Dr. Dalessandro is also a good doctor. Dr. Ellis knew my mother and saved her life when she had a heart attack and then needed triple bypass. I then had a stress test by him, he was comforting, answered my questions, and his staff was very kind. Waiting time wasnt bad.

Just saw Dr. Ellis on tv, he has been my cardiologist for 15 years. great doctor and is very friendly in and outside of the hospital. great office staff and explains things well. recommend him highly to anyone to save your life!

Recently in the hospital at Wilkes-Barre General where I was treated for a blockage in my heart and Dr. Ellis took care of me and made sure my family and I had all questions answered and had great bedside manner, was kind, courteous, and smart, in my opinion. He put a stent ? in one of my arteries in my heart and now I feel 10x better. Thank you Dr. Ellis! Highly recommend.

Dr. Ellis's office is a great environment and the nurses are wonderful. They make you feel welcome as soon you walk in. Dr. Ellis, in my opinion is the best cardiologist in Luzerne County, his expertise speaks for itself. He completed a cardiac catheterization on me after having a huge heart attack, my heart stopped and revived me and now I have a stent in the LAD. My father also had a heart attack, he put 3 stents in my father and saved his life. He is a true family, always talking about his family and never hesitates to as how your family is doing. I would recommend him to anyone.

After dismissing my concerns about putting a tube through my groin, because of severe chronic neuropathic pain in that area, and telling me it would be "just a small needle", Dr. Ellis put me through the torturous procedure of a cardiac catheterization, putting two stents in my lower left artery. After the procdure I was in intense pain and needed an emergency shot of morphine which provided only slight relief. By the time I got to my room I was in a lot of pain but my nurse promised that she was going to be coming in periodically to administer an IV that would keep me pain free through the night. She then left and came back to tell me that Dr Ellis did had left without prescribing anything for my pain. The nurse, God bless her, did the best she could and got in touch with my GP who could only prescribe the vicodin every 4 hours that I take routinely for my chronic groin pain. But at least that took the edge off somewhat, along with an ambien around midnight but not enough to allow me to sleep. I want to say that what helped me get through this ordeal was the fantastic nursing staff at General Hospital. The compassion of these very attentive and knowledgable folks is almost palpable and provided a palliative effect on my pain. When I saw Dr Ellis, briefly the following day, he made no mention, much less an apology, for his oversight that caused me a night of terrible discomfort. The reason I give him a single star is because it is the lowest possible rating. I have made an appointment with another doctor but I had decided that if I got chest pain again I would not go to the ER until I had established a new cardiologist, preferring a meeting with Jesus to another encounter with Dr Ellis.
