I broke my fibula in 2 spots and shifted the talus bone in my ankle 4 mm. Dr Trotter was very thorough, kind and his bedside manner is great! He joked, we joked, but I always knew that I was going to be ok. I've never broken a bone or had major surgery, so needless to say I was very nervous. He put me at ease and I'm doing great after my plate and 5 screws were inserted. I HIGHLY recommend this doctor. I wouldn't go anywhere else. It surprises me that there are negatives here - he is, by far, the best doctor I've ever had.

Dr Trotter has done multiple hand, knee and now shoulder surgeries on me and I would highly recomend him to anyone. He always made me feel I was getting the utmost care possible. I never felt rushed, left not understanding where I stood or having questions unanswered.

i have had two surgery's with this doctor. i always felt comfotable that i was in excellent hands and am pleased with the results both on my shoulder in 2010 and my knee in 2011. i am suprised to read other reviews aledging he was short or rude with his visits. he took above average time with me compaired to other doctors i have seen. he listens intently to everything i had to say. he never seemed hurried to shorten the office visit. his staff are excellent and his office is very clean, organized and well decorated. i can find nothing negative about my experience with Dr Trotter.

My mother had a hip surgery from this dr and her hip always popped it and out place and she was in alot of pain and suffered alot. I kept bringing her back to the ER WHERE THEY WOULD HAVE TO PUT HERE HIP BACK INTO PLACE. NO ONE SHE HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS. SO PLEASE FIND ANOTHER DR. IF YOU NEED A HIP SURGERY. I CANNOT BELIEVE SOME OF THE DR NOW A DAYS

I came to the office after I broke my foot. The X-Ray was taken a few days earlier and already there I was told that three bones on the top of my foot were broken and that I should see an Orthopedist and they suggested Dr. Trotter. After waiting for about 30 minutes Dr. Trotter came in the room and looked at my x-rays. Then he told me that no surgery was needed and I should not put any weight on the foot and continue to wear the boot I received when the x-rays were taken and come back in 3 weeks. Dr. Trotter spent approx. 5 minutes with me. Today I wanted to get an appointment with him again. Before doing so I checked my claims and found that Dr. T. had submitted a claim for the first visit.I was very surprised when I saw the amount he had charged for the 5 minutes. He had no shame at all to charge my insurance $2650.00 for the FIVE minutes. This would be a hourly rate of $31800.00 Now I'm not surprised at all anymore why the cost of health care in the US is exploding.

Went to see Trotter with what turned out to be severe deQuervain's syndrome that required surgery by the time I was able to get a second opinion from a competent doctor two months later. Trotter barely examined my hand before telling me it was nothing more than arthritis and abruptly ending my appointment. Even though I told him I was in excruciating pain and my hand was swollen and warm to the touch when he saw me, he offered no suggestions or recommendations to follow up with someone else. He is a very rude doctor! I believe had he correctly diagnosed the problem when I initially saw him, the deQuervain's would not have progressed to the point it did, necessitating surgery.

I have had much work done by Dr Trotter, including two knee replacements and a recent knee revision (to the spacer). He has always expressed concern and care. He will spend time with you - just be prepared with what you need answered. Like most drs these days he is busy. The more you work with him the better the exchanges become. No one else will touch my knees!

I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor. Dr. Trotter did not listen or care about the problem that I was having with my achilles tendon or the pain associated with it. I did find a caring, skilled orthopaedic surgery that listened and identified the problem, which required surgery. The problem is resolved and I am pain free.

Dr. Trotter did knee replacement, I had a dislocated knee cap and the knee was not lined up properly. I am now facing a total redo. He acted unconcerned and advised me to do 100 leg lifts with a thirty lb. weight in which the physical therapist said could do damage to my back. I got a second opinion and was told I need a redo.
