Over the last 12+ years I have been to at least 9 foot Doctors & Surgeons in the Greenville, Simpsonville & Laurens SC areas. Was correctly diagnosed with ACHILLES TENDONITIS in 2003 or 04. Have tried everything from exercises to wearing a splint at night to wrapping and having specific ( and expensive) orthopedics made for my shoes. Now believe it was started from taking LEVAQUIN ANTIB for a sinus infection in 03 or 04. After taking CIRPO in May 2015...Achilles tendon in L ankle tore about 75%. BOTH these antibiotics warn that Achilles can RUPTURE as a side effect of taking these meds!! I did not like how I was rushed and felt lost in the crowd of the huge ortho group (S.H.) Went to Dr Womack and liked his bedside manner & the way he took time with me to explain my specific situation. He gave me hope that he could repair this torn tendon via grafting a tendon from another place in my foot & fix the situation that was has had me in so much pain for so long. Wore CLOGS for so many years to lesson the pain...tennis shoes or flat shoes or barefoot was about unbearable due to the stretching of this tendon. Dr Womack did tell me the True Facts: would never be totally normal like I was when I was younger & before the tendionitis...but he could definitely have me walking without constant pain & swelling. Had the surgery done last November. He was just as caring & kind all along & saw him several times after the surgery for follow-ups. I was SHOCKED by the same day surgery bill from the HOSPITAL. His charges were I believe reasonable for what he did to repair this very hard to heal area. He was upfront by saying it would take at least 1 year of recovery & in my 7 th month after surgery...feel great being able to walk better & gradually have worked up to about 6 hrs a day wearing flatter shoes. I could not say anything better than saying my whole experience with him was EXCELLENT. Wish there were more doctors with his honesty & no rush approach !! Give him a 10+ too for telling me exactly what to expect & encouragement to realize this largest tendon in our bodies is often the hardest to heal.

I went to Dr Womack with a very old injury. I had convinced myself I would just have to live with the pain. He looked me over, gave me a lucid and reasonable course of action. He performed surgery and I have a new ankle. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Womack's professionalism, bedside manner, his diagnosis or treatment. He helped me immensely. I have total confidence in his abilities, and he is a nice guy!

had a hammer toe--Dr. Womack said he needed to break all my toes and put plate in that a bunion caused it. I had no pain before surgery only inconvenience because of the toe. It has been 6 months and I have been in unbearable pain every day since and now all my toes are messed up and he won't take responsibility. He says I have sensitive skin but I don't see how this can cause all the toes toes to cross and be up in the air and my foot stay blue and the pain is unbelievable. Do not use this doctor??---------He told me at the beginning that it would take 6 weeks to heal. Instead of healing my entire foot is messed up like it was in a grinder.
