My original surgeon was great but this doctor was just trying to get rid of me. He didn't seem like he wanted to help or that he was prepared he was asking me questions he should've known.

I wanted a second opinion about my cervical area operation in the C3-C6 and also assessment of the lumbar area L1 bone. Doctor listened to the kind of pain I was having. He did the physical exam and strength of arms shoulders and elbows and legs and suggested that there is no need for an operation in the cervical area. He asked me to continue physical exercises, and come for a check up when the pain increases. He listened attentively to what I had to stay and also explained the realistic assessment of the benefits and pain and limitations in movement of the neck, I would still have if I did the operation. This was opposite of the recommendation by the first neurosurgeon doctor.

Dr Baskin performed a bi-frontal craniotomy surgery to resect a ruptured AVM and clipped an aneurysm on the feeding artery, so that I have been able to fully enjoy the last 23 years. Not only is he an exceptionally skilled neurosurgeon, he is also a kind and caring physician. I look forward to enjoying the next 23 years.

Both he and his staff are thorough, polite and have a lot of patience. I feel at ease when I need his services.

Doctor gave concise evaluation of issues and next steps. Reduced alarm generated by some of the language in the write up of the scan! Would go back to Dr. Baskin if I need to.

Actually after second visit. I felt a little frustrated as the MRI revealed little new info I thought the doctor was going to write and send me a new PT prescription, please.
