If you open your mind to his suggestions and then share your concerns and goals with him, he is going to work with you to help provide the best pain management options and they truly work as long as you show him you are making strides to work the plan. Yes he does push exercise and sleep, mindset but once I thought about the ultimate goal, you can not expect to keep tanking pain meds forever and continue to get better without other factors to aid in your pain management. Listen, talk and do the work. 2 years with pain under control and no more pain meds after 5+ years taking then due to multiple cervical fusions.

I have to admit over the years I have seen Dr. Blatt he has been intimidating but he also is real and does listen to you and your concerns and your treatment goals. If you are going to see him to get pain meds dished our like candy then look somewhere else. That is not his intention to treat you but as long as you stick to your plan he is there for you 100% and wants to get you back to functioning without relying on the almighty pill. My goal was to be out of pain as much as possible and following his intentions as well as listening to your hopes for recovery . I admit I was was apprehensive but ultimately I have been back to better than I had been feeling con years after 4 failed fusion surgeries but fingers crossed my pain has been minimal now for the past almost 2 years. Listen to him and he will listen and help you.

Dr Blatt has taken care of my back for a few years. We finally had him to burn the nerves and Dr Blatt did a fantastic job. He is the only one that I trust to take care of my back in this way. Thank you to him, I can move again.

After reading these reviews I was surprised to see how the Doc & his staff were slammed repeatedly. I’ve been seeing the Dr. for about a year & have never had an unpleasant visit to date. Dr. Blatt always takes his time never rushing through the visit. He’s a good listener & honestly cares contrary to what’s said in the reviews. He is also open minded & open for discussion. If you’re honest & within reason the Doc will give you an RX that you will be happy with. When it comes to the “looked down upon weed” Doc doesn’t sweat the small stuff. I’m being totally truthful because I know from experience being 65 how terrible some doctors are. I can’t understand how Dr. Blatt & his staff are always so nice to me then on the other hand upset so many people.

Dr. Blatt spent 45 minutes with me. He listened to my concerns and together we explored options for my pain relief.

Everyone says he has horrible bedside manner. He's a doctor, he relieved me of my pain, that is what I care about. Was he warm and fuzzy, no, but he was cordial and nice. And I feel better!!

I really appreciate his history and his compassion. I've seen him 3 times now and I like his ability to make sure you are cofortable and you understand his point of view.

I've neve been to a worse doctor in my life. Horrible bedside manner, rude staff. And to make matters worse when I got a second opinion the course of treatment he wanted to give me was completely wrong. As if he had my tests confused with someone else entirely they said.

Worst doctor ever!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. He will take your money for injections that don't last long or work at all half the time. Dr Blatt hardly listened to me, called me fat and told me my pain is all in my head. Worst bedside maner ever and completely unethical. Believe all the bad reviews!!! He is closing his practice down now anyway.

Dr. Blatt administered a nerve block on my broken tail bone. He got me out of pain and was good at communicating throughout. I recommend.

Dr. Blatt was not understanding and/or comprehending of the intensity and lengthy history of my chronic pain. Pain med treatment was sorely insufficient for the acute pain level I experience. His bedside manner is cold and distrusting. I don't think he smiled even once. He yelled at an assistant about a computer function he was unhappy about while I was sitting in the exam room. I saw his physicians assistant the next week and when I told her I was in extreme pain and physical therapy was going to create more and I would really be suffering she replied, "that's okay." That's when I knew I was done with this doctor and this clinic. the only good thing I received from Dr. Blatt was a referral to a physical therapy group in my area that is the best and most knowledgable I have ever experienced.

I had severe back pain that was not properly diagnosed or treated by other doctors, and thanks to Dr. Blatt I feel much better now. Dr. Blatt took the time to take a detailed history. He is friendly but asks so many detailed questions that it might seem he is in a hurry. Dr. Blatt did prescribe the pain meds I needed but he made it clear that he will prescribe narcotic pain meds only when that is necessary and he takes as many precautions as possible to control pain without turning his patients into drug addicts.He asked a lot of questions about the pain meds prescribed to me by other doctors, and I can understand how these questions might bother some patients but in all fairness to Dr. Blatt, he has to ask all of these questions because unfortunately abuse of prescription meds is a huge rapidly-growing problem in this country. Dr. Blatt impressed me as working hard to control my pain with the medicines i needed instead of the medicines i asked for.i also was impressed that Dr. Blatt has an exercise trainer in his office to teach people how to exercise safely, and I was delighted to find that seeing this exercise trainer regularly decreased my pain and enabled me to become more active again.

Very disrespectful,had to wait over an hour once I was called into waiting room.Was put on contract for medication That I already been taking for over a couple of years,was o.k. with that.made me take a urine test ($300 IN THIER POCKET)to make sure I wasnt some kind of junkie,wanted to know if I smoked marajuana or was on any other street drugs before renewing my script(already cut off my script 6 months earlier until I made appointment,which there were no openings for 2 weeks ,made references as if I were going to sell the prescription on the street)I have severe arthritis in neck and upper back with advanced bone deteriation.Felt very looked down upon and humiliated. They have a sign in operating room that reads "PAIN RELIEF IS YOUR RIGHT" what a joke! 2 vicadin a day hardly makes me a junkie,just looking for some relief...dr cant even look you in the eye,,,whats up with that.Very discouraged now,rater suffer in my pain

Pain patient. Dr has no connection with patient. NO EYE CONTACT. Direct questions only. Requires office visit for script refills ($$?). Seems distant does not seem to listen. Doesn't remember our "plan" nor does he have one after six months. If your gut tells you this doctor is not right for you listen to your gut.

I find Dr Blatt to be very professional. He doesn't come across as easy to joke or kid around with, but he's VERY good at what he does. Since his specialty is Pain Managment, I can understand why he seems a little aloof at times. I'm sure he's heard every excuse & story from medication seeking addicts. However, he doesn't make me feel that way & does what he feels he needs to in order to help me battle my chronic pain. I have had several doctors in the past 2 & 1/2 years that almost had me convinced I was crazy, or faking, or that this very real pain was all up in my head. He believes me!! That in itself means all the money, gold & gems in the world. Thanks DR BLATT!!!
