Dr. Jonathan I Sheinberg, MD

I was very fortunately referred to Dr Scheinberg bu another Dr. I am 74 years old and have seen my share of medical personnel. When Dr Scheinberg entered the exam room and introduced himself, I was immediately impressed with his bedside manner, and knew right away that this was a good guy. He spent a long time visiting with me and questioning me about my medical history. After he had listened to every word I said, he rolled his stool over to me and patted my knee, looked me in the eye and said "we can fix you!" He ordered a series of tests, which were completed over a 2 week period and met with me several times to discuss results. I have never had a Dr. spend so much time with me. He worked with me to develop a plan to improve my health. He made available to me, his wonderful nutritionalist/dietician to counsel me. I now feel that with Doc's help and that of his staff that my quality of life will greatly improve. His front office staff, two of the nicest ladies you would ever meet, do a great job of welcoming you, scheduling tests, having visit notes already prepared and ready to hand to you upon checkout. I drive 40 miles and an hour travel time to visit Doc Scheinbergs office. Distance wouldn't matter, as I would still drive longer distances to remain under his care. Thank you Doc and to all your staff. A job performed in an excellent manner.

Absolutely the best I've seen for truth and realism. Tells it like it is but doesn't put the "scare factor" in as part of his manner. Great doctor!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sheinberg. He's much more than a great cardiologist. He solved a serious medical mystery for me (that had befuddled a host of specialists) by ordering a genetic test that showed I could not metabolize statins (which I had been taking for 30 years and were starting to cause peripheral neuropathy). He then got me on a brand new med that has done absolute wonders for my hereditary high Cholesterol and Triglycerides and the nerve damage in my feet is slowly healing and my A1c (also a hereditary problem) is down to 6.1! And, it's not just this one issue. He is into checking everything proactively to make sure that we know exactly what is and is not going on with my cardiovascular system and general wellness. If you want a doc who will sit and listen and then check you out from one end to the other (accurately) then Dr. Sheinberg is your man. Also, he's one of the most upbeat people I've ever met (and he surrounds himself with an outsanding, efficient and courteous staff). I always enjoy seeing him and I always walk out of his office with a smile on my face. Simply, the best doc I've ever known.

Dr. Sheinberg is the only doctor that takes the time to find out what's causing problems. I am 58 years old and have had multiple stents placed in my heart arteries. I have seen several different doctors and all they want to do is put stents in after i have another blockage. I saw Dr. Sheinberg after my neighbor saw him. He ran some extensive blood tests and spent 45 minutes with me discussing the abnormal labs that were causing me to re-develop my blockages (no other doctor has taken the time to run the extensive Boston advanced heart lab). The labs have been treated, I am on a healthier diet, exercising, taking the right medications and using the right over the counter vitamins and supplements. I feel great and I now understand what so many people recommend him. If you're looking for a doctor to take the time to explain to you whats going on and take an interest in preventing rather than fixing - Dr. Sheinberg is for you!

I am 63 years old and was sent by my dentist as they detected high blood pressure (very high) . I made an appointment with Dr. Sheinbergs office. When I arrived I found out that my Medical Plan was a variant of one they accept. I told them this needs to be dealt with today and will pay for the visit. The entire staff was gracious and professional. They took me in immediately and took my blood pressure and ekg. Dr. Sheinberg came right in and gave me the meds to transition my blood pressure lower. At the end of the visit Dr. Sheinberg said this was "no charge" and insisted on a follow up also "no charge". He also helped me pick the doctor I should see to stay in my current plan. I have never been treated with such care in my life! Dr. Sheinberg and staff are simply the best. I have always taken good care of myself as far as exercise, diet and lifestyle. I was not owning up to the fact that everyone in my family has hypertension. I can not thank Dr. Sheinberg enough. Because of my neglect, things could have ended badly! One happy and lucky patient (and fan)

I went in for a stress test for mere curiosity's sake as I was exercising more. I felt great with no heart problem symptoms. Although my EKGs read "athlete's heart", Dr. Sheinberg's more thorough tests discovered the 90% blockage in my "widow maker" artery. Dr. Sheinberg and his staff kept me at ease and spent time with me through every step of the triple-bypass that followed. Sheinberg was there when I woke from surgery and was constantly present, explaining recovery and expectations. He reassured me and kept me positive through-out. Added bonus: Humor Me: "After surgery, can I play the guitar?" Dr. Sheinberg: "I don't know. Could you play guitar before the surgery?"

I saw Dr. Shineberg today for the first time. Initially I was really upset because he was running late. But his staff was very nice, brought me a coffee and when the doctor came in he was sincerely apologetic explaining that some of his patients today required some more time.Dr. Shineberg then spent about 40 minutes with me because I (i.e. my wife) had a list of questions. He was very patient, never rushed and really listened to what I had to say. He came up with a treatment plan to treat my very mild coronary blockages. Despite being a little miffed upon my arrival because the doctor was running late, it was well worth it. I am very glad I found him online. He is very highly recommended and exceedingly bright. He clearly know what he is doing. His staff is exceptional and the office is beautiful. WELL WORTH MY TIME! VERY SATISFIED

I was admitted to Westlake Hospital (AMAZING HOSPITAL, btw)with chest pain. The ER doctor contacted Dr. Sheinberg and he was literally at my bed in less than 5 minutes. He determined I was having a heart attack and I was brought upstairs just a few minutes later where I went to the heart cathlab. I had a stent put in with immediate reief of my pain. Because of westlake hospital and Dr. Sheinberg I went home the next day with no permenant heart damage. He is the BEST cardiologist in town and saved my life!

I saw Dr. Sheinberg because one of my parters in our legal firm uses him. At first I was a bit skeptical... but he not only showed my that I have early stages of blockages, but explained WHY I needed to take crestor, fishoil and vit B3. Because he showed me the "why" I have started a diet and exercise program, my supplements (from whole foods) and crestor. Despite a busy practice he spends 20-30 minutes with me, answers all my questions and ends with a "what else can I help you with?"Super nice guy, great physician

Extremely knowledgable, caring, thorough, and patient. You'll get his time and his energy. Uses the Berkeley method for tracking cardio care. Fantastic!! You'll get the entire picture with CT Scan, Echo Test, Blood Workup, Family History, etc etc.

Dr. Sheinberg spent 45 minutes with me going over preventative strategies. I am 50, never had a problem (I thought) and then had a heart scan calcium test done showing some mild blockages. My family doctor sent me to Dr. Sheinberg. I was give some very advanced cholsterol and genetic tests and Dr. Sheinberg prescribed a diet and exercise program, over the counter supplements and medicine to reduce my risk and prevent me from having a heart attack. My family and I are SO glad we found him!!!

I recently began going to a cardiologist as I've never had problems before (and now only mild hypertension). Dr. Sheinberg was recommended by my personal doctor and I am 100% thrilled with my experience and with the overall professionalism and genuine concern and focus that Dr. Sheinberg exhibits. He is without question the best possible choice for me!
