Dr. Jose Mena, MD

Dr. M is one of the kindest professionals I’ve ever met, he listens, asks the right questions, takes his time and is honest. I am so impressed by his demeanor and intuitiveness. Amazing staff, they do anything and everything to help you and get you the best care. We love this doctor and office staff!!!

Dr. Mena prescribed a therapy that actually worked. However, when I needed to reschedule a followup visit, his office refused to respond to calls, email, messages by their portal etc. Now my condition has returned. And because of the unresponsiveness of Dr. Mena and his office, I am not sure if I should return. I thought he was a terrific doctor at first, but without followup, I do not know if any of the things I respected him for really matter.

Super happy with the experience. I was referred to Dr Mena for “sciatica”. I had blocks done in the past. They did not help. I was told I might need surgery for my back. I consulted with Dr Mena and interestingly enough after he examined me and looked at my MRI, he told me that my back was fine and I did not require surgery. He took an X-ray of my hip and he found that I had a very bad case of hip arthritis. He referred me to a hip surgeon and had hip replacement surgery. I am pain free now. I am glad that I did not have back surgery

I went for a third opinion. One doctor recommended immediate surgery and another one told me that most likely I was going to deal with my pain for the rest of my life. I saw Dr Mena and he told me that I did not need surgery now. Rather we started conservatively with therapy and sure enough my pain went away. Very grateful!

I have been dealing with back pain for almost a year. My PCP told me I had arthritis and a pinched nerve. He referred me to see Dr Mena specifically. Dr M reviewed the MRI and explained it to me very thorough. He eventually gave me a block in my back and told me to do the exercises that the therapist showed me. Sure enough, I have been pain free and religiously doing my exercises regularly as he told me to.

I took my 81 years old mom who has been suffering of low back pain. Dr. Mena took time to listen all of our complaints without any rush. He explained the reason why she had pain and hence every single step of the treatment.

I would give him 10 stars! I had to have a C 7 nerve block in my spine which is EXTREMELY overwhelming and very scary. Dr. Mena made me feel comfortable and safe. The procedure went perfectly. I would highly recommend him to my best friends..
