Dr. Joseph Michael Puccinelli, MD

As a new patient, I was skeptical, but I sure realized that I had nothing to fear! Dr Puccinelli is a new doctor in Beaver Dam and I heard good things about him so decided to try. I needed a knee replacement that I've been putting off. He is funny, doesn't act like a stuffy surgeon, and I felt comfortable right away. When he was serious about the process I felt that he was very knowledgeable and cared about what I needed. I had the surgery, with only small incisions, and I was feeling better, immediately!! I will have the other done, right away! A dr. With a sense of humor sure makes a difference!! I will recommend him to anyone needing surgery!

Dr. Joseph Puccinelli has been our Doctor for twenty one years. We we're recommended to him by our then family Doctor. the first thing he asked us was how did we decide to chose him as our Doctor. We replied our family Doctor highly recommended him to us and he was in our Insurance plan. Also we had seen another Orthopaedic practice and were'nt satisfied. Dr. J. Puccinelli xrayed our son from his hip on down and confirmed our son had a non invasive tumor that is common in children but hardly diagnosed. We also saw an Orthopaedic specialist Dr. Thomas from Childrens Hospital who confirmed the diagnoses and treatment for our Junior High age son. At that time our son was playing a contact sport and couldn't continue until the area healed itself. Had we not sought Dr. Puccinelli and our son resumed his sport he would have had a more serious condition. We treat him as he treats us like apart of our family! We are a family of six with various orthopaedic concerns and our recoveries have all been successful. Dr. Puccinelli is very courteous and willing to answer all your questions, and explains it in laymans terms. The office is a friendly environment with great staff. We have recommended him to a lot of people in which they have been happy with him as well. Our family has depended on him for a long time and will continue to seek his council as long as he's available. No regerts!

Dr. Puccinelli treats my family whenever we have an injury or problem requiring his expertise. He's great at diagnosing, and has much of the equipment he needs to do this 'inoffice'. Typically, he can X-ray, dx, and provide casts, splints and other durable medical equipment, so you can leave knowing you've begun the recovery process, instead of faced with several more appointments to schedule. He is good at explaining your problem to you; he stays current with technology and medical research; he readily refers patients for problems requiring more focused expertise instead of trying a few things 1st; he helps you evaluate surgical options and is conservative in recommending surgery when it's indicated, which I feel is a somewhat unique approach for a surgeon. He's compassionate, has an extremely helpful, knowledgable primary nurse and support staff, and has even met us at the ER a few times to help dx pediatric injuries that might be missed by the general ER MD's. He has offices in several locations, making it easier to find times to schedule an appointment with more urgent problems. His expertise and care is in my estimation unique and unparalleled, which is why he's the doctor we've called upon for the last 25-30 years whenever an orthopedic situation presents itself.
