Dr. Joseph A. Rakowski, DO

Never actually got into the office. My dr was sending me there for Genetic testing and each time I spoke to the office staff trying to make an appointment they were talking about doing my surgery. Then they sent me medical forms and advanced directives. I had to repeat why I was going there several times and well, I made an appointment instead with the Beaumont Genetics Center and canceled this appointment. I don't have any faith in this dr for genetic counselling. This staff really needs to be trained to listen to people when they call in.

He is excellent, a great addition to the Oakwood Hospital Staff.

He is a very good doctor, very caring.

It is about time Sparrow hired someone as talented as Dr. Rakowski. He saved my life.

Took our daughter to surgery for a ovary tumor. Absolutely first class experience the entire time, robotic surgery, small scars. Other doctors wanted to perform a traditional open surgery, but he did it robotic and she is doing great! Jamie his nurse is so kind.

He is an excellent, caring, and compassionate doctor. Professional staff and his nurse Jamie is so helpful. Had the surgery at Sparrow Hospital and doing well. Had the robotic surgery and I would recommend Dr. Rakowski to everyone in mid-Michigan. He is awesome and easy to talk to. I felt like he really listened to me as the patient.

When the other doctors wanted my mom to have Hospice and wouldn't give her a chance, DR RAKOWSKI came on the case and gave us ALL of the options, including the robot. He took her to surgery and because of him our mom is alive and fighting her cancer! She has HOPE and we know the Sparrow Cancer Center will offer the care she DESERVES! THANK YOU DR RAKOWSKI!

He is amazing surgeon and even more amazing bedside manner. Took time to explain my treatment options and performed robotic surgery for my cancer when the other docs wanted to cut me open. I only have 3 tiny scars!!!! Worth the trip to Sparrow! Highly recommended! He is the BEST

Friendly staff, comfortable office at Sparrow Cancer center. He took the time to answer my questions and talk about my diagnosis (in words I could understand), the treatment options, and recovery. I know I am in experienced hands- he knows what he is talking about AND he is a great surgeon!

Want to wish Dr. Rakowski good luck in Lansing, MI. He is an awesome doctor! Orlando will miss you.

I am so thankful to have Dr. Rakowski on my team, from the start he was compassionate, knowledgeable, and explained my surgery to myself and my family. He was at my side in the recovery process, and I am proud to say I am cancer-free thanks to him and the team at Florida hospital.

Dr. Rakowski is the best doctor in Orlando! He took the time to explain our mom's prognosis and treatment options and kept our family updated through her whole hospitalization. He is highly recommended for any woman with cancer.
