Dr. Judith Major, MD

The woman was the most arrogant obnoxious doctor I have ever met, I would not recommend her to anyone.

Four years ago I had my L4 / L5 fused, with hopes of improving my quality of life. I thought I would bounce back to "normal" soon after and get off the meds. Prior to my surgery, I put myself through numerous unsuccessful procedures and treatments. My daily cocktails consisted of Percocet, Oxycontin, Valium, Cymbalta and Ibuprofen. I couldn't work anymore, gained weight, my condition took a toll on every aspect of my life and those close to me. A year after my surgery I was suggested medical marijuana as treatment, since nothing was helping. I've been a patient since 2016. I don't take or depend on any pills, I'm back to work full time, I lost over 30 pounds this past year. Dr. Major is astonished with my transformation and as am I! I have my life back! Not pain free, but i have control. I'm not wasting away zombified on prescription drugs dwelling on the pain.

Shes a good Doctor as long as you have a Diagnosis thats Qualifies you under CT guidelines and arent trying to scam her youll be just fine. But for those who think Medical Marijuana is a cheap road it isnt, if u cant afford the initial $250 then you gotta pay to renew every year. Personally id rather pay a little more and be consuming a safe medication thats grown rather than a addictive drug thats man made in a lab but thats my opinon. Just a Warning for New Patients dnt expect this to be a cheap substitute, God Bless and Goodluck with your medical issues.

Excellent professional treatment. I'm on a tight time schedule and traveled an hour to get there. I was seen immediately when my mid-day appointment arrived. Overall an easy stress-free experience.

Besides a quick check of blood pressure - the visit was rushed and focused on the appointment and directions to dispensary. Not sure why a 6 month follow-up is required...to give another $150.00? And then a year check-up for yet again another $150.00....hmmmm She certainly has a great job!! No discussion..no information..nothing but a bill and directions

I am so happy that it is finally legal as meds. I have fibro and it is the only thing that makes it bearable. Thank you Dr. Majors.

If you want get treatment that is NOT a medical marijuana card, this is not the doctor to see. This IS the doctor to see for the purpose of a medical marijuana card. If you understand what you're going for, then you're less likely to be "offended" by her. Yes, the exam was very cursory and quick, she didn't want/need to know every detail of my condition. Why bother? For every condition that can get you a Card, you SHOULD be already seeing a doctor who specializes in that condition. THAT doctor will help you understand your condition and manage it beyond the medical marijuana. She's there to decide if I qualify for the card, that is it and once she decided that, she quickly got to the business at hand, telling me about the rules of the program and how to register online for the card. Her receptionist was very sweet and kind, and Dr Major was actually quite nice. Honestly the reviews here scared me off and I think they're unfair. If you want your hand held and head patted, go somewhere else for some other kind of treatment. She's not there to play games and there's point in wasting time pretending you're there for anything but a card - right? I was told that if I had any problems with the CT website I could call back and they would help guide me through it.

Dr. Major and her staff were very helpful. They explained everything I needed to do to register for my Medical Marijuana Card. I was able to complete the process and leave with a smile. I highly recommend going to see them!!!

As other reviewers have stated, prepare yourself to be shushed throughout the entire appointment, rudely interrupted, and just generally be made to feel like your condition and suffering does not matter one bit. Disappointed in her bedside manner, but at least it was a fruitful visit.

Dr. Major is good. She is clearly passionate about both medicine as well as community access to medicine, the latter especially being something I appreciate in a doctor. Appointments with here are no-nonsense and to-the-point. Her staff is kind and professional. Dr. Major is very direct. Some seem to interpret this as rudeness or unprofessionalism, however I personally found her to be friendly and interesting. I would recommend Dr. Major to anyone with illnesses in which she specializes.
