Dr. Julie Ann Chicks, MD

She wants you to stay hooked on suboxone for as long as possible! Dr.Chicks is not interested in helping you get off of it. Also, she does not care about her patients whatsoever! She thinks she is a God! Its ridiculous and sad. I'm working so hard to stay clean and I almost think that she wants me to fail!!! No good. Do not recommend her at all!!!

I have been seeing Julie for some time now on the Suboxone program. She has always been helpful and I have always been comfortable there. She always tries to help me with smoking and eating habits. Some of the new mindfulness ideas and self-awareness has come in to prominence recently, she was way ahead of that curve. That shows me she is actively engaged in making people's lives better by looking for new ideas and treatments. I only have positive things to say about her.

I see dr Chicks forever. She is smart, very knowledgeable and she Helps.

If there were any bad reviews it wasn't Julie Chicks they saw. From the very start I felt very comfortable from the staff to Julia herself. The Gratitude I feel has taken on a life of its own. I've gone to a number of doctors for treatment for my addiction and all I felt from them was judgment. They acted angry and like they shouln't be bothered and if I did anything wrong I'd be out of the program in a heartbeat.There is no way that any negative review was because of Julie or her staff.

I will first disclose that Dr Chicks saved my life almost 10 years ago. I will also mention the several breakdowns I've had over the years, where she has ALWAYS taken time to figure out what regimen changes were needed, regardless how far past our allotted appt time it took. See, where I work, the Drs act put out to spend 5 whole mins face to face with a patient. Not Dr Chicks, shes just different from the majority of today's clinicians. I will also talk about the time I had a very strange medical condition occur right as I was sitting in her office, and while she could've said, "You'll have to see your GP for that," she did not. Instead, she helped me for over a month, working through this incredibly painful, bizarre condition when she most certainly didn't have to. I believe she did it because that's just who she is; she truly cares more about the patient than the money. To be clear, I feel the universe blessed me when it dropped her into my life so many years ago and I highly recommend her care.

I had to find a new doctor because mine retired. Went to a different one and was not impressed. It's very hard to find an independent doctor these days but Dr. Chicks was wonderful. I like a doctor that's straightforward, understanding and listens because who knows you and your issues better than you. She wasn't pushy and spent an hour with me on my first visit. I'd highly recommend her

After several years Dr Chicks Ultimately failed me. I am 58 years old, several doctors to look back on! Great Doctor if you do not mind NOT having a real input. Greatest repeated disappointments were statements made every other month "call if any changes needed" Not one time anything was done, changed. I understand not changing anything over the phone but Please STOP stating you will. Entire time prepping and receiving assurance and PROMISES for continuing certain scripts during transition at time we would move to Arizona. In the end it sounded like She was the patient making all kind of excuses.

left a patient in care without medication over a period of two days, because they had a balance!

An addiction Dr Who illegally prescribes meds that are restricted, then changes the codes necessary with the pharmacy to get them processed, says she's your pain doctor, until you refuse to worship her, then out of nowhere, she becomes your addiction doctor to suite her desires, yet screws up the rest of your meds to keep you suffering. I had an allergic reaction to a medication, yet she told me to continue the meds -even though I had itching & severe rash that made me scratch until my entire neck & chest were scratched until several layers of skin were removed !!! My AODA counsellor refers to her as "the witch doctor" after viewing the damage to my skin! I was eligible for mileage reimbursement covered by insurance, yet she refused to turn in the forms required to assist me with the 6 hour round trips I had to make weekly, which some kept me waiting in her office for over 5 hours(7 was longest). On trips that could have been completed in less less than an hour, but she likes you to waste an entire day! ! (DO NOT TAKE PETS OR CHILDREN ALONG, NOT POSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO WAIT THIS LONG!!!)

Dr. Chicks has helped me rebuild my life.

I was going through a very difficult health challenge and if it weren't for the incredible insights of Dr. Chicks, I most likely wouldn't have survived. Not only did she prescribe my care, she interacted and advocated with my specialist doctors to assure I was getting the best of care.

I spent 7 years in a suboxone program administered by Dr. Chicks. Never once after the initial visit was I asked what my goals and timeline to get clean altogether. Only through my own insistence did she even consider lowering my dose. Seven years in Dr. Chicks program and seemingly the most important thing to her was making sure I still saw her once a month often spending less than 5 minutes with me so she could collect her payment. I never had a relapse nor did I ever take any other substance. I probably should have been out of her program within 4 years max. It wasn't until I realized that I was coming up on my eighth anniversary in her program that I realized that she really did not have my best interest in mind. She seemed more interested in getting payment for my monthly visits. For anyone who reads this please remember that you are just trading one drug dependency for another.

Most memorable- without a doubt Harvey. Only because I''ve never heard of a comfort dog before! But the sincerity of Dr., Chicks is genuine. Abby and Leah are the nicest and friendliest people I've ever met (in a doctor's office)!

Great doctor. Office visits are fast but thorough. I was switching to suboxone from methadone after 5 years of sobriety and her and her nurses walked me through every step even allowing me to text dr. Chicks for help through my induction. I couldn't have asked for more. Stay clean and focused and she is a godsend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Julie Chicks for almost 10 years. She has played a huge part in helping me get my life back!! She listens to you and cares deeply about your needs. She works with you to set a treatment plan and long term goal for you that is realistic and very reachable. As long as your are honest and upfront with her and walk the path you both set, she will walk side by side with you and help you with every step during your recovery and rehabilitation. She will be the best friend you need so desperately during this very difficult time. If you lie to her, deceive her or play games with you; you will not be a patient for long. She will remove you and make room for the next person who really wants to get better. She will remember your name when she walks in the room. She will hold you accountable for your own life. So if you're seeing her because you really want help, you've found the right doctor. If you're there to play games.....move it on down the road! I highly recommend this doctor! She's helped me create the amazing life I have now. I could never thank her enough!

Dr. Chicks is the best doctor! She truly cares about her patients and takes into consideration what they hope to get out of their care. I would recommend Dr. Chicks to anyone wanting to see a doctor with true integrity and a wealth of knowledge.

Since I had just changed insurance plans, I was in need of a new doctor. I called several offices and found Dr. Chicks office staff friendly, and helpful. I was hoping the doctor of such an office would be the same. When I went for my check up I found Dr. Chicks professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to share my medical issues with. As someone who doesn't find going to the doctor a pleasant experience, I found Dr. Chicks and her office staff extremely welcoming and took all the fear away. I actually looking forward to my follow up appointment next month!

Dr. Julie Chicks runs a suboxone clinic along with seeing regular patients. towards her suboxone patients she is very rude, short (billing for 40 mins when visit lasts all of 10 minutes tops including time spent with nurse and is late for every appointment), she is very condescending when some one comes to her for help she tries to control every aspect of their life and treats them like they are scum. I have spoken to numerous people who have seen her and all haave reported the same behavior and treatment
