Dr. Julie Alyssa Lorber, MD

Be prepated to wait over an hour in a very small yet crowded waiting room. Be prepared to jump through hoops before she actually attempts to try to fix anything for you. Her solutions were counter intuitive to what my goals were, shes an absolute clown.

Dr Lorber really made me feel comfortable and explained everything. I told her I was so scared and she made me feel so calm. Had my procedure and let me tell you everything went perfect. When I woke up from surgery she was there to comfort me. She knew how scared I was. I would recommend her 100 per cent. She makes you feel relaxed and talks you through your emotions.

Dr. Lorber was kind, thorough and very personable. She asked me what the problem was and she paid attention while I described the details of my problem. I was heartened that after viewing the hemorrhoid, she said she would take care of it immediately. Took her about 5 minutes for the complete procedure and the mental and physical relief was/is very satisfying. I highly recommend her. BTW the staff was excellent as well.

Dr. Lorber is the best colorectal doctor out there. She came highly recommended by my nurse practitioner and I can totally see why. Kind, friendly, gentle, funny, and brilliantly smart - she's the whole package. Many thanks to her and her fabulous office staff for such a great visit. I feel so taken care of.

I always tell Dr. Lorber that she is my favorite doctor but I hate seeing her due to the nature of the problem. Dr. Lorber is kind and caring, thorough and a true professional. I trust her whole heartedly and would recommend her to anyone suffering with these types of problems.

I went to this doctor on the recommendation of my trusted physician. I had high hopes. I was seen one hour after my appointment time. The doctor arrived late to the office looking like she just rolled out of bed and glared at the patients in the waiting room. The doctor took a personal phone call ( non emergency....to a contractor) during my appointment without excusing herself from the room. The doctor had a very flat demeanor and seemed aggravated. The doctor disparaged three other patients while I was there. Perhaps it was a bad day, but I am looking for health CARE and it didn’t seem like that would be possible with this person. The office staff, however, seemed nice and attentive.

simply the best doctors office I've ever been to in my life. well run, excellent and friendly staff, and dr Lorber makes the most difficult matters easy to discuss and understand. she is a gem.

Kind caring doctor and staff

I have never met someone who cares more for her patients than Doctor Lorber.She brings a human side to practice that will make you feel at ease. She is also a great surgeon who performed a couple of operations on me with no complications. She has made a difference in my life....

Dr. Lorber is s great doctor and has a great bed side manner. I had surgery & was told it would be a very painful recovery ended up with an abscess and had to go back into surgery 3 weeks after 1st one but she and her staff really got me through it. Then I ended up with an infection from the IV and she helped me with that. She would respond to my emails immediately along with call me back when they said she would. It has been a long 6/7 weeks but I am finally starting to feel better and I thank dr. Lorber and her staff for that. I would recommend her to anyone who needed s colon/rectal surgeon.

Great Dr. Period so thorough

Best doctor I have ever been to. She takes the time to expain things to you and is relatively conservative, not wanting to jump into surgery. She is kind, caring and smart and I would recommend her to my own mother or child. She's the best!!!!!

I was referred to Dr. Lorber by my primary physician due to an abcess located near my tailbone that was very painful. Although Dr. Lorber was scheduled to leave for the day, she preceeded to try and treat the abcess in office due to the amount of pain i seemed to be in. Her kids were there waiting for her and she still treated me. We still had to schedule minor surgery but she did her best to try and make sure i was comfortable until that time. I am extremly grateful to her and the courteous staff. Unfortunately, the issue has returned but Dr. Lorber is the only doctor i am interested in treating me.

Dr. Lorber exudes great confidence which made me feel comfortable immediately. I have since recommended her to several friends and Family who all share the same reviews. The office staff is also very friendly and caring.

I had a horrible experience at this doctors office. My appointment was scheduled on her day off, but she was there so she took me. After a few minutes of probing she told me I had an anal fissure gave me some meds and sent me on my way. I was excited I thought she had solved what 5 other Drs failed to solve. The issue stopped for about a week and then continued on. Later I get a phone call from them telling me that they do not accept my insurance and I am completely responsible for the bill after telling me that they do and taking my copay. After months of arguing they lowered the bill to 200 because I can only assume that they realized their wrong doing . I still am not satisfied because I am an unemployed veteran who is in college and I waited years to get this issue fixed until I had medical insurance only to go to a doctor that told me they take my insurance and did not.

I was referred to Dr. Lorber by another physician. I was kind of embarrassed about seeing a female doctor for my condition but within the first couple of minute with Dr. Lorber I was completely put at ease. She truly is a caring and compassionate physician. I would highly recommend Dr. Lorber for anyone who needs the services of a colon and rectal surgeon. Thank you Dr. Lorber for all your help, you truly are a great doctor.

Dr. Lorber is an angel!! She is very caring and dedicated to her patients - tries to make the situation of the "problem" as easy as possible and will do whatever it takes to make the pain go away - she goes way and beyond the "normal" guidelines of care for her patients - She is one of the best doctors I have ever met - she truly is a blessing to my mom!
