Dr. Julie Lynn Reihsen, MD

I booked an annual exam initially but have been having chest tighntness and pressure for the last four or five days prior. I thought maybe it was the weather changing or my asthma. I really couldn’t put my finger on it. there are signs up in the office that says so talk to your doctor about any of your health concerns or medication refill requests during your visit. So I figured I would mention this. I began to talk to one of the medical assistant/ about the chest pain and pressure that I have been experiencing. She said to me “we cannot talk about that today because you are here for an annual exam“. Now I understand that there are different ways you bill insurance. I am fully aware that an annual exam is covered by my insurance but a detective appointment would be coded differently and that I would have a co-pay. But I think that it is very inconsiderate and poor bedside manner to tell a patient experiencing chest pain and pressure for days that they “can’t talk about it today because it’s an annual exam.” I feel like the most proper thing to do would be to say OK so we will reschedule your annual exam and focus on your matter at hand. I told her that I would have had to lie about how I was feeling when asked in for order to “not talk about it today.” They then billed me $200 because I was “a new patient” then call me back to tell me they made a mistake. Although I was struggling to breathe and have been for 12 days they did not prioritize getting me the results from my chest x-ray which I asked them to order. They did not treat me like a human being with a perhaps urgent situation. I am really disappointed. I hope they do better and re-commit to the oath they take as healthcare workers.

I’m very fortunate to have found her as my PCP after relocating from NV. She listens to your concerns and makes sure you get the appropriate care for your issues. I highly recommend her as a concerned, professional physician. You won’t find a better PCP if you want the best medical care.

If your life is valuable to you, don't trust this nincompoop. Insurance fraud is what they do best. She is not a sleep study Dr. Blatant misrepresentation of facts. Her own words were "I'm just a lowly PCP." She only refers to doctors she knows, & all 3 were not in my insurance network. She uses mind games to get you to come back a second time, instead of looking at your problems while your actually there paying her over $300 for an office visit. She's a scammer. Yells every word she says to you, like your deaf. Maybe she is. I wouldn't trust her with my health & dropped her as my PCP before I left the parking lot. Walk in patients were seen as my scheduled appointment came and went. There litteally is not one good thing I can say about the way I was "treated". Women, your a fool if you go here for anything gyn. Expect to have anyone in the office barge into your exam room without permission. Run. Run far and run fast. Why are you still reading? Go find a better doctor, this is not where you want to go.

Dr Reihsen took wonderful care of me for several years. She took time to listen and allowed me to answered questions. I am an RN and found her to provide thorough thoughtful care for me and my family.

I've been in Tx for 4 years, and would travel back to Oklahoma to see my family doctor. I have now switched to Dr. Reihsen full time, she is very personable, no nonsense and blunt. Which I find extremely refreshing. She will listen to you and help you find the best solution for you.

Dr. Reihsen is a wonderful doctor. I never want to have to go to anyone else.

Dr Reihsen is a good doctor for small aliments. She uses high dosage to knock out the ailment and make the patient comfortable. For chronic cases I will not recommend her.

I went to Dr. Reihsen for the first and last time on 4/14. When she completed my physical she just recited a rehearsed speech. It was clear she said the same thing to every patient. She didn't take the time to listen to concerns. After the physical, my blood was drawn, and the doctor never said good. You would think she would have talked about any concerns I had.

Very business like and proficient.

I visited Dr. Reihsen once....will never return and do not recommend. I went in specifically to get a medication that I had discussed with my previous doctor and felt it was time for me to start. My previous doctor did not accept my new insurance so I wound up seeing Dr. Reihsen. During my appointment, I specified the medication I wanted several times and she never said anything to make me feel she disagreed. Several days later, after my blood work came back, the front office staff called to tell me yes a medication was needed but that Dr. Reihsen wanted to prescribe something different. Why was I getting this information from the staff when Dr. Reihsen and I could have actually talked about it during our appointment? I explained to the staff that I wanted the other medication and they said they would discuss with the doctor and call me back. The next day they called me back and said the doctor wanted to prescribe the medication she chose and that was the only option. To be clear, I'm not talking about a pain med or something that people could abuse. My dad, brother, uncle and several other relatives take the med I wanted because of a problem that is prevalent in our family. Why Dr. Reihsen wouldn't discuss alternative meds during our appointment or bother to call me herself was very frustrating. I then found a new doctor who actually listened and talked to me and prescribed the med I wanted without any hesitation and said for my condition it was the way he had treated it for 20+ years. So...avoid Dr. Reihsen....find a doctor who will actually listen to you and not pass you off to staff.

From sickness to injury, the doctor and practitioners are always helpful, the staffs changed over time but they have always been helpful since day one. Im very pleased with the entire office over all

I called today to inquire about my blood results and was yelled at and hung up on by a receptionist named Pam I'm very upset about her attitude and will need to find another practice.

I have been to this physician 4 times in the last 2 months. My first experience was a well womens check. my impression upon leaving was that she was not caring at all. i got lectured during most of my visit. my following visits were for a sinus infection/stomach problems. Maybe image wrong but don't most doctors give you medication for these things???? After 3 visits image still sick and

Always very thorough. She listens to me and keeps accurate records. Follows up. I was really sick at home and had called in. She called me back and made sure I was ok before she got off the phone.

I've been a patient of Dr Reihsen for over 10 years now and would never go to anyone else. Her staff always treats me well too.

My experience with Dr. Julie has only been positive. She seemed hard nosed at first, that she was the physician and I the patient, but is as it should be. I have the utmost respect for her.

I was really excited to meet Dr. Reihsen for the first time after the wonderful reviews. To start off her staff was very rude and lacked professionalism. I felt like she did not care about my problems and was very rude and kept on ignoring the problem. I will never go to this physician ever again or would recommend anyone.

I thought I had made a good choice after seeing the reviews available, but was disappointed. I have never had an experience with a doctor where I waited so long, the office staff lacked professionalism and communication, or where I left as frustrated as I did after my visit with Dr. Reihsen. I have already called my insurance company to select a new PCP. I certainly hope that my experience was not the norm there...

I saw the reviews online so I chose Reishen as my new general physician when I moved out to Las Colinas area... I went for first time to get a general checkup and to talk abt a chest pain episode I had had for first time ever... Dr Reishen was surprisingly short-mannered..I felt like she was reciting stuff (which Drs probably do do aftr so many years doing job) but if I asked any questions while she was reciting she wld look irritated and give a one-word answer then go back (literally go back to the same word she left off with) in her speech...she also dismissed a lot of the symptoms I told her I was having with the chest issues and said it was a panic attack (i told her i wasnt doing anything when the shortness of breath and chest pain hit) but she still said it was a panic attack and did not want to do any other tests... i went back for one followup...where she just read off the blood test results from my physical (same results nurse told me over phone)... I had high hope for this doctor but the bedside manner was very disappointing and brushing off symptoms is alarming... I did not go back after my follow up...

The staff is friendly...if you have any concerns about your health she will do everything in her power to assist...She knows all the best specialist and she will give you referral...
