I had low back surgery by Dr Boatright. All through my experience withi his office I felt well taken care of. Managing my care until and after surgery. MY recovery went very smoothly with the follow up. I am standing straight, feel good. Walking, working and keeping busy. Wonderful doctor and office.

Dr. Boatright truly cares about your pain. He gets you in and is very efficient in his shots, plus he is so very friendly and well groomed. His office staff is also very friendly. You can tell they love working for this very positive environment. I highly recommend Dr. Boatright.

He explained where he thought my pain originated and how he thought he could help. His calm confidence eased my fears which were considerable. Dr. Boatright is the best. I had been suffering from sciatica for decades, and it had gotten intolerable the past couple of years. I went to see Dr. Boatright and after MRI's and discussions he discovered that I was born with a defect of sorts, my right side lower lumbar passageways pinching my sciatica nerves, and he suggested surgery to ease the pinching. He explained that it is not a typical surgery but was fairly confident he could help, but was very open about no guarantees. I decided to go thru with the surgery, tired of not being able to walk more than a quarter mile without extreme pain. The surgery went as expected, and after a 3 month recovery, including P/T, I am able to walk indefinitely without sciatica pain! It's nothing short of a miracle, as I can now take long walks with my wife. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Boatright, committed to helping folks and obviously very happy when he does so.

Dr. Boatright was very knowledgable from the beginning. He tried all possibilities before surgery. After trying all other possibilities we proceeded with surgery resulting in a 95% pain relief. Would recommend him to future patients!

Pia, the DPN, called every Sunday for weeks post-surgery to check in on my pain levels, and to see if I had any concerns. Outstanding patient care! Because of Dr. Boatright’s excellent care and incredible skill, I am pain free, and have been since a week post-surgery. The prospect of spine surgery can be daunting, yet I felt completely confident with Dr. Boatright as my surgeon. He always takes the time to listen, explain, and reassure. His credentials are impressive, and that alone would be enough to pick him as your surgeon, but his “bedside manner” is what sets him apart.

Wonderful and caring doctor

I visited Dr. Boatright after experiencing neck pain from a fall. After x-rays and six weeks of therapy, he scheduled me for an MRI. subsequently, I was scheduled for neck surgery. His conservative approach and his comprehensive description of everything prior to the surgery and during my recuperation was very comforting. I would highly recommend Dr. Boatright for anyone experiencing spinal issues.

After years of back pain, I was suffering more and more. I was losing quality of life and could not stand for long or walk more than about fifty yards. After three shots with only short relief, the surgery went very well.. I found Dr. Boatright's staff courteous and efficient. Dr. Boatright always made me feel I was in good hands. I spent the last ten years living with the limitations of lower back pain. I would rate that pain as between 3 and 5 fore the first five years of that period with spikes into the 5 to 7 range. This was manageable but limited my activities with emphasis on their duration. During the last five years it worsened with pain levels in the 5 to 7 range spiking 8 to 81/2 maybe even 9. As a result my physical activity levels were compromised to the point of having to stop playing golf and softball. Normal task like cutting the grass and other household chores were also eliminated. For the last year or two I did very little around the home and the pain worsened. So, I finally opted for the back operation, and I approached Dr. Boatright in that regard. He examined me and ordered numerous test to determine the best course of action and recommended the lumbar decompression. I agreed and the rest of the story is wonderful. Now I am fully active with little to no pain. I'm playing golf as well as when I was 40, and my wife is happy for the help around the house. I fell as though I have a new life thanks to Dr. Boatright.

In my specific case I went to see Dr. Boatright after being treated for lower back pain and an unsuccessful Laminectomy from a Doctor at Rush Orthopedic Center in Chicago. Dr. Boatright was reluctant to see me first but was kind enough to take the appointment as a second opinion. We started treatment with the regular protocols of physical therapy and injections. When the pain and sciatica got to the point that I could no longer function Dr. Boatright recommended a three level fusion. The operation took 7 1/2 hours and was successful. I am back to playing golf and leading a normal life. I owe this all to Dr. Boatright and his staff at the Spinal Institute. I have been a patient of Dr. Boatright for several years for a back issue. Dr. Boatright performed a spinal fusion on me in the fall of 2019. Why did I wait so long??? My surgery went well.
