My mother in law was scheduled in appointment, she is at Encompass Rehab Hospital they scheduled wheel chair transport and they were an hour late arriving. The Nurse from Encompass called them and told them they said it would be a problem, but said she had already left, and they said okay. When she got there they were rude, said they do not work over time and that they would not see her. It did take her 45 minutes to get there. Was not her fault. She had been in the hospital for 4 weeks and 3 days, then she went to rehab. She has had many complications. not to mention her original surgeon left practice a few weeks ago to go to different hospital. The staff was uncaring and very unprofessional. She will never go there again. I would not ever recommend them to anyone. I am in the medical profession, and I was appalled by the way they acted.

I felt that all concerned with my surgery and recovery were interested and cared for me as a patient. They took the time to answer any questions I had and I felt very much at ease with them. I will definitely recommend Dr. Huguet to anyone that needs surgery. Thank you to everyone.

Be prepared to be seen at least 1.5-2 hours after your appointment time. All three of my appointments presurgery surgery and post surgery were over an hour and a half past the time of the appointment. Clearly takes on way more patients than they can handle. The day after my bilateral hernia surgery I was having issues I call with my concerns and couldn’t even get a call back after 4 calls I finally spoke to a nurse who just told me to go to the ER come to find out they pierced my urethra w/ the catheter and I got stuck with the ER bill + surgery bill.

I went to Bayfront ER for some sort of heart arrhythmia issue and they found the gallstones I already knew I had. The stones weren’t causing any problems. The ER doctor said it wasn’t a dire condition. I only went there for the heart issue. I wanted answers. They started sedating me and I wasn’t sure why. Before knew it I was being wheeled into surgery. They removed my gallbladder and my life has been screwed up ever since. It’s been almost two years. I had to get my medical records just to find out who this surgeon is. I hate you, Kevin. Why would you do this to me when I didn’t need it??? Because it’s easy for you to do and it’s easy money. This is really common I hear. You ruined my life.

Office staff very nice, office appearance clean and welcoming. Doctor though was not the warm friendly type. Very dry personality. I don't even think he looked at my chart. I was there because I was referred for a biopsy, he asked me "have you had an x-ray? Duhh um.... the report is sitting in front of you!

Dr. Huguet and his office staff were awesome. Made me feel very comfortable. When it was time for my surgery I was nervous but as soon as I saw Dr. Huguet I knew I was with the best and was relaxed.

As a parent with a teen diagnosed with a relatively rare pancreatic tumor for her age, I was unsure of this newest journey. We met Dr. Huguet after already determining the tumor was benign. Even so, she faced a complicated surgery to have the tumor removed. While the threat of cancer was no longer an issue, we were still very concerned about the procedure and whether or not we were capable of choosing the right surgeon. The time Dr. Huguet spent with us during the initial interview erased all of our concerns. During my daughter's procedure and nine days in the hospital, he kept us completely informed. The way he interacted with her was unbelievable. Still a child at just 17, he treated her with incredible respect. We had to decide between a children's hospital and St. Anthony's and chose the latter because Dr. Huguet is a surgeon there. We never regretted the decision even though it was sometimes difficult because I was accompanied with an eight-year-old child with autism. All of her recovery was handled professionally. Follow up appointments were actually pleasant. As a family we would highly recommend Dr. Huguet as a surgeon. The office staff is courteous, professional, and always pleasant!

My mom was referred to Dr. Huguet for colon cancer sugery. Her surgery was difficult, but she recovered and is now cancer-free. Dr. Huguet is an excellent surgeon who really cares about his patients. I would highly recommend him.

If you are thinking about having this operation don't consider anyone else. Dr Huguet is the best! I was a bit worried as I had never had an operation before. I even still have my tonsils. The Dr and his staff were tops during this experience. I didn't have to have bandages due to some new way of sealing the wound so I would not get an infection. Really kind of sci-fi but awesome! It hasn't been a yr yet and I have lost over 80lbs. with no complications. Check out this Dr before going anywhere else.
